Status: offline 		The reason why I ask is that anytime I go to the Dodge web site and use the Build Your Own Car feature, I choose the SXT but it gives me the one with the 4 cylinder and not the V6.

Does the SXT model comes with a dual exhaust instead of a single exhaust like the R/T model?

Status: offline 		As far as I know, you can get the 2.7L Flexfuel V6 in the SXT.

For the exhaust, you only get a single tip exhaust on the SXT.

u have it reversed it's the R/T that has the dual exhaust only!

Mine's a 2.7. 

Only the R/T comes with dual exhaust with the...what...3.5 liter?  I'm pretty sure that's what it is.

That is correct. The R/T comes with the 3.5L.

I think it is worth spending the extra money buying either the 2.7L V6 SXT model or the 3.5L V6 R/T model than the 2.4L 4 cylinder SE model.

My opinion.  Reading the reviews on the 2008 Dodge Avenger (although there are only a few), people like the R/T more than the SE model.

SXT2nr's photo gallery 		You can also get the SXT 2.7L V6 with the Apperance performance package (like I did with mine).  Comes with the 18" rims, facia w/ fog lights, and the R/T spoiler.  The 3.5L is the only one that come with Dual exhaust.  The 2.7L is just single exhaust.  I'm currently working on building a new exhaust for mine and will post pictures once I get finished building it.

When I ordered my SXT with the 2.4L it gave me the option of the Sport Appearance package without having to get the 2.7L or 3.5L.  I like how Dodge is now realizing that when people want a fuel efficient engine they don't necessarily want a stripped down car!!  :)
