ram y-pipe/cat
I just changed my old cat (really worn out) at 125K. I found a cheap Magnaflow high flow cat on Ebay (75 bucks plus shipping!<IMG src=smileys/smiley20.gif border="0">). I also put a new Magna flow muffler and duals out the back after that. Big power difference, I highly recommend changing it all out, especially since the cat is the most expensive part, and more power is always good!</P>
I know that Magnaflow makes a "two in-one out" cat. And I did not have to replace the Y-pipe. I didn't do it myself, I had a local shop do it, and the mechanic did say the y-pipe had to come out to get the cat off (because they are welded together). At least he told me before hand, that was what he would do, didn't ask if he actually had to.</P>
He said dodges are a real"you know what"to change cats on....so if you can, just have a local shop change it,it may be a real headache. They can order a cat for you, but they are usually at least $150 from what my mechanic said. I would recommend asking you local shop to do it, and see if they don't mind if you find your own cat somewhere for cheap and just bring it in. </P>
oh...and while your changing the cat, you might as well change the 02 sensor. and yes, they are in the front of the cat, but i do believe it is in the cat, so it is reading both inlets (I think)</P>
hope this helps</P><edited><editID>clarson80</editID><editDate>37980.9693518519</editDate></edited>
