View Full Version : GM dealerships dispute Tundra ad, get shot down HankL 04-11-2007, 10:31 AM http://www.brandweek.com/bw/news/recent_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003562732 nascarnut 04-11-2007, 03:17 PM Wow its getting dirty and chevy is desperate for sales. Someone on our block got a new tundra. After seeing it for the past few weeks, I like it better than the chevy design but the tundra still looks like an uglied up ram. mb18 04-11-2007, 03:25 PM Wow, that is getting interesting. We'll see who wins at the end of the year when the final sales numbers are rounded up. If it means anything, I've seen far more of the new Chevy (and GMC) trucks than the new Toyota, of which I've only seen one out there on the road. I think our local dealership would be terribly confused as to what to do...they sell both new Toyota's and new Chevy's off the same lot. dustyloins 04-11-2007, 06:05 PM After Toyota built their new Tundra plant here in San Antonio, I expected to see Tundra's all over the place. I was out running errands most of today and I didn't see a single one on the road!!! Dusty 03neonRT 04-11-2007, 06:12 PM Our local Toyota dealer has seven USED 2007 Tundra's on their lot... Altair 04-13-2007, 02:41 AM Lying and accusations aren't going to help GM sell vehicles, that's why corporate isn't running ads like these dealers are. As for disputing that commercial why don't they just buy one and try the same stunt? Kinda obvious that's a good way to see if it can or not. 71RoadRunner 05-01-2007, 02:39 AM I know a guy who is pretty much all pro-American made, but he test drove all the full size trucks out there and swears by the Tundra he bought as being the best of them. I haven't driven any except the Ram and I'm fine with the Ram and so is my dad who is trading in his older'04 for a new one this year and that will be his 3rd or 4th in a row. |
