Default un-mufflered

yep, i took the muffler off. And one of the resonators. the whole thing(from muffler back) comes off in one piece w/ the removal of the nut on the engine side clamp of the muffler. Too easy. sounds viscious too. I can feel a little more top end on the motor, now also.

Is there still piping going through the back? If not, well.... good luck.

The loss of backpressure.... and having all the gases re-enter the engine, well... not good. At all.

piping thru the back? explain. there should be a lot of back pressure from the manifolds and the resonator, not to mention that poor excuse for a y- pipe (a set of 2" pipes strangled by one 2.5" pipe.) Catalytics provide some back pressure also. You think my check engine light will come on if I'm fn it up?

I dont think the MIL will come on... It might see the loss of backpressure as bad, and flip it.

You may not think you lost a lot of back pressure... But you did. The cats do help, but if it didn't flow better, people wouldnt invest in aftermarket kits. more flow will hurt your back pressure.

thats the whole point in free flow kits is to lower backpressure, mine I did the same exept I added a 90 and a crome tip which brought it out infront of the rear tire
