What we have done to the motor, MSD blaster 3 coil, MSD 8.5 mm plug wires, champion 3405 plugs or ngk v- power plugs. nitrous wet system injected before the throttle body, we started with the 35hp pill and have ran the 100 hp pill. We went from 1.04:1 gear set to a 1.22:1 gears. We are running V-P racing fuel of 109. With this set up we have ran a best time of 15.05 in the 1/4, 90.38 mph 60 ft 2.131 speed 60 ft. 74.83. We have sence then purchased the underdrive pully and a 52mm throttle body, and a stall converter from ptc. We also have a 87 daytona shelby with the 2.2 ltr turbo 2. i have a 1991 es 3.0 v6 5speed now were should i start huh lets see i have ported out the intake and exhaust manifolds, shaved the block and the heads, bored 30 over, titanium pistons, cams, crank, specil titaniam crank and cam bearin packs, bigger cams courtesy of friends in maching shops, no timing belts changes to chain with titnium pullies, stage 2 fuel man. system (fuel rail custom built. and stage 2 bosch fuel injectors with stage 3 foger nozzles), alluminum fly wheel, custom oil pan (well stock pan but with a honey comb inside to cut done on oil slosh) stage 2 msd modified computers all around, bosch plat 4 spark plugs, 3 1/4 inch pipe the hole way back to a magnaflow muffler, high performance oil pump and water pump, heads are port and polished, custom titanium oversized valves, (it helps to have friends with access), stage 3 racing gears in the tranny, stage 4 clutch, custom titanium axles (the only thing i could get that i have yet to break), custom home built hood scoop, and there is much more, i do not know wat the 1/4 time is yet cause i have not had a chance to run the strip yet but i will tell you that 3rd gear i can do 120 before hitting the red line but when i run the strip ill put the times on here
Very nice, tell me more about the cams would he do a fellow mopar guy? If so how much, and the computer can u give me info on that PLEASE the rev-limiter on this stock one is killing us. What is it on yours(rev-limiter). We have only made a few passes without hitting it and you know once you hit it, it kills a 1/4 time. You have givin us hope there are still people tring to make this motor and car run. Where are you located? I am in central Florida.

We bought our Garnet Pearl & Silver 1984 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z in the spring of1992 with 22000 original documented miles on it, we bought it instead of plane tickets to take a trip back east figuring if all went well fine, if not we could sell it and hitch a ride home and still end up with an adventure ,eather way was ok . It turned out to be so much fun to drive and was in such like new condition that we kept it ,and have only driven it in the summer months when the weather is nice since, and now itsa part of our famliy . 15 years later it only has 54000 miles on it and other than regular mantaince all I havedone to it is . Installed special 100000kp drivinglights ,a K/N air filter , acustom built strut tower brace ,and a set of 16"X8" Speed Racing 7 spoke aluminum wheels W/ Toyo Proxis P-215 ZR 40-16"tires .Needless to say wedon't plan on getting rid of it any time soon .:)

I use to have 2 Daytona's. One was a bone stock '87 Shelby Z 2.2L Turbo II and the other was an identical '88 Shelby Z 2.2L Turbo II that had the 5-spd. rebuilt, the enginbe rebuilt and bored 30 over, MSD Blaster 2, Accell SS wires, K&N filter, motor mounts filled inand Mopar Performance PCM. Most everything on my '88 I had to replace and was fairly new mechanically.

I have eibachs i still need to put on it. All i have to say is....holy crap. drgnkpr...your engine is insane....why aren't you on turbododge? You should boost that thing....you have so much time in it already. The computer thing would solve alot of problems for me and my boost project. Are you cams regrinds? Flowbench those heads and let me know how much cfm they flow....im interested. oh and WOW 120 in 3rd is amazing....thats all i have to say. I only hold my 3rd till about 80 or 90. Nice work im jealous.

This is seriously one of the most disgusting lies I have ever heard on a dodge board.
What you have in those pictures is a 3.0L with intake and exhaust. I can prove just from your pictures that you dont have most of those mods....AND the mods I cant prove from the pictures, I can prove because they DONT EXIST. stage 3 gears?? lol no such thing for a a543 a523 a568 etc transmission. LOL.
120mph in 3rd gear lol. MSD CAN NOT DEFEAT THE STOCK REV LIMITER SINCE IT IS FUEL BASED.
120mph in 3rd gear...also not possible since that would be about 8000 rpms and the 3.0 lifters cant manage that. With all your made up modifications you forgot to mention custom lifters.
Platinum spark plugs and nitrous!!! lol I can tell from the pictures there is no nitrous anyways and nobody would be stupid enough to use platnum plugs in the presense of nitrous.
Makes me feel sick inside that someone who claims to have a 3.0 is such a disgusting liar.
Ive got pictures of every mod Ive got and if you wanted to prove you are not a liar Im sure I can line up some $$$ races. beware. While I do not have all these fake non existent 3.0 modifications that you mentioned, I have real mods and a turbo the size of your head. Real people have seen it and Ive got pictures and even VIDEO of the car running lol.

Do you realise how rediculous your post sounds.
15.05 is a 3.0 "bolt on" time. I guess its funny to me that you pretend to run some expensive VP race gas and a 100 shot and then only claim 15.05@90mph. There is absolutly NO nitrous on your car if you are runnign those times and trapping only 90mph. How in the world do you cut a 2.1 60' and then screw everything else up sooooo bad??

Its called the rev-limiter im sure you have herd of it. We have the nitrous on at WOT.We also have aarming switch for on and off. On that run i was on and off that switch to keep it out of the rev-limiter so it would shiftI will be sure to get the time slip pic posted on hear. The only adjustment we have found to help with the rev-limiter is the shift linkage moving it back and forth. You want to see it go to Bradenton motor sports park in FL.on 4-13,14,&15 theres a nice event, it will be there. Sence you obviously know all how do you get rid of the rev-limiter? Also im sure you knowthe timing retards to factoryafter a few secondsaboveI believe it is somewhere around 2500rpm so after the burn out who wants to shut the car off to reset it.In your first post you where mistaken the pics are not of this motor it was a different fellow that seems to know the answer to the rev-limiter but cant give any facts. MY MONEY IS WHERE MY MOUTH IS you want to see pics of the nitrous hook ups also no prob. How about posting the specs on your ride with your mods and times. This is the first time with nitrous for us tell me why not to use platnum plugs?? Thats why we have forums to debate and learn right. Give me some info andI will provide facts of what I have said. Did you notice that I replied to each post differently?
Thats because you are not the same person. I am quite aware of that.
My issue is that your car is laughably slow to claim you are running a 100 shot. 15.05@90mph is a Bolt on 3.0 time. 14's are bolt on times. I did not offer a solution to any rev limiter issues. My spirit is a 14.8@92 car n/a with no headwork or cams. My friends 3.0 P-body dropped down to 14.2@97 with a little weight reduction and port matching. I dont understand how your car can be so slow. When I had an auto 3.0 it hit 15.48@88 with nothing but exhaust and 52mm tb + intake. I would be really pissed if a 100 shot only gained me 2mph (about 10hp at that level). Your car should run 15.05@90mph with ZERO nitrous if you are getting 2.1 60's
Go ahead and post pictures of your "setup". You might want to invest in a manual valve body so you can control the gear shifts for your uber fast car with 3 speed. Oh...computer timing retard is NOT a serious power loss issue...just something people complain about when they dont know why their car is slow. Also, you are not burning out for 15 seconds @ WOT lol so lets not pretend the computer is retarding timing on your automatic transmission computer. You have to wait about 15 seconds or whatever the delay is ;)........and just so you know a manual computer retards timing instantly....and a manual computer is slightly faster at the track in the same 5 speed car then the auto computer that doesnt retard timing initially. So lets just drop this "timing retard" issue killing hp. If you were peddling the gas all the way down the track then your computer NEVER retarded timing anyways. Im not sure where you come up with this stuff.
Like I said, the turbo on my "fun" 3.0 is as big as that "other" dudes head. I know you wanted to call BS, sorry to burst your bubble.

WellI never saidI didnt believe you on the turbo,I think its great. Im not sure what pill we had in for the 15.05 run. When the nitrous kicks in it throws the rpms through the roof and its hard to keep it out of the rev-limiter. The timing thing is somethingI readI didnt know how much it would affect the run. We have tried finding a valve body, shift kit, orflow diagramfor the trans, we have a buddy that does auto trans for a living and he cant find anything either. If you have any info on that I would appreciate that. This is new to me so all im going on is experence which isnt a whole lot. In a couple weeks we will see what happens with the 52mm tb, underdrive pully and stall converter. Do you have any ideas on the computer on these? What do you think about making it carburetored?

A few people are working with a turbododge vendor to get the ECU hacked.
The 3 speed trans is internally identical to turbodoge 3 speed transmissions so you really have no excuse to not find all the tranny parts you need. That transmission was running 8.05@180mph in one ar last year on the 1/4.
Here is an example of a built a413... The only difference with your a670 is the bell housing. I dont know where to buy individual parts but Im sure these people can help.
http://www.fwdperformance.com/store/Product.asp?IDCatalog=56&ProductID=896
Your story just sounds very goofy as people have used the exact same transmission and converter and run 12's in their turbo 4 cylinders. It doesnt make any sense that your transmission isnt shifting.

You posted pictures that proved you were not telling the truth. Feel free to complain to an administrator about that.
Your engine has a timing belt, stock cam gears just from looking at the pictures.Stock intake stock engine stock transmission parts can only be proved because the parts you mentioned do not exist and nobody manufactures them. Nobody. "stage 3 racing gears"????Please. No company out there builds custom gears and calls them "stage 3" when you have the only pretend set in the entire world.
Still laughing that you think you can do 120mph in 3rd gear
Prove you are not telling the truth. Like I said, the lifters can not handle those kind of RPM necessary to go 120mph in 3rd. Doesnt matter what your rev limiter is set to.

The mod probably isnt doing anything because he is laughing his A** off right now. And what did Ondonti do besides call out a blatant lier? What is wrong with that? Not a thing. The fact that this kid thinks anyone who knows the slightest bit about cars would believe any of his mods is up in the night.STAGE3 GEARS FTW! LMFAOAnd the fact thatthis kidsomehow thinkshis car is made pretty much out of titanium, is laughable at best! Ti pistons? Are you serious? Seriously, did you just come up with the most exotic material you could think of and the say you made half your mods out of it to sound cool? BWAHAHAHA! Why didn't you make them out of kryptonite? lol Better yet, get together with your "connections" and open a shop. You would be rich, I mean indy cars don't have Ti pistons, you are obviously light years of them in R&D. You could be rich enough to make a whole K member out of Ti.[sm=icon_rofl.gif] You do know what a K member is right? But, you must already be pretty well off putting all that Ti on there already. Considering Ti valve spring retainers for my RT are almost 400 bucks a set, and those are16 little 1" disks of titanium. You must have spent hundreds of thousands on that SWEET set up! [sm=loser.gif]
Ondonti OWNS you 3.0 folk! He has more real knowledge and real world experience with the 3.0 then EVERY 3.0 owner in this thread! Period.
And why such a big turbo? ARE YOU SERIOUS? Do you know ANYTHING about going fast? I mean obviously not with a comment like that, and I can assure you that turbo is very properly sized. Unlike most of you, he did his homework.
I haven't laughed this hard a another automotive person in a long time, I hope to never again. It hurts to laugh this hard.
OH yeah, and i have a Daytona too. 1992 White Daytona IROC RT PVP Pilot Car, (1 of 432 ever made, 1 of 75 in that color that year, and 1 of 50 with the removable sunroof) And not a drop of Ti on it. LMFAO

Seeing as how your TD isn't made out ofTitanium, and I can verify most of your mods, makes me think your not quite the lier that Sir Titanium is. Other than the rear bumper comment. That has to be the most retarded thing I have ever heard. Your 8 valve showing me your bumper? HA I think not. You must not know much about TDs either. lol 16Valve>8valve. How about I have one of my TD buddies meet up with you in tulsa. He will bring his RT with less work than mine has and we can see if you will show him your bumper. Please dude. People who wont pop their hoods a chicken **** liers at best. I have pics and vid of all my mods, why hide it? Thats just stupid. I am PROUD of all the work and money I have put into my RT. Why wouldn't I show it off? I have parts off my RT made in Germany as well, what is so cool about that. In fact, you can go to my cardomian page and see the parts. They are the upgraded FWDperformance lifter, there is pics, here is a link, go check it out! http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2038370
Here is a litte vid (12 min little) of my RT racing when it was bone stock with a huge boost leak, plus again all the pics and specs of my build, right down to flow numbers on the ported head.
http://videos.streetfire.net/video/3b0c42d9-274e-45a6-9340-9900008f8154.htm
And once its all done and tuned, you can expect to see at least some more runs at the track and on the street, if not a dyno run of two. Why hide it? I look at it as, I did this to my car, you did this to yours, who knows what they are doing more. Its not a who can bs people on a internet forum. This is not highschool.
This post was going to be a complement and a request for pics of your car. I just recently got me a 87 shelby Z as well as the IROC, then, you lowered yourself to Sir Titaniums level and made the "show me the bumper"comment. I would have never thought to call you out as a lier, until your subconscious slipped up and did it for you. Post some pics of both your 88 Z and your other car as well. I am a car enthusiast and love cars, thats why I want to see pics, and it also happens that I don't believe you or Sir Titanium. Same offer applies to you, post pics and I will admit that I am the dumbass, but, this offer does not apply to the 88 Z. While I do want to see pics of that car, just because it sounds like good looking car, and your mods are all pretty much known mods, its not the one your making outrageous claims about while sounding like your still in high school, and not doing to well in English at that. I will (if you post pics) admit that i am a dumbass if you show me some proof of your 100k roadrunner. Because, honestly, I would gladly call myself a dumbass to see a pic of, for 100K, better be a beautiful car. And, I swear, if you do somehow find a body kit for a car that doesn't need one, as it already has some functional areo stuff on it, You are on the same level as Sir Titainum for ricing out a nice American car.
And also, a couple of direct questions you could answer for me.......If...................IF you can.
1. Who makes this T4 "godzilla" turbo? lol And what are the spec please?
2. Clipped forged rods? Made by whom?
3. Do you have any flow numbers on that head?
4. What kind of head is it? and I don't mean dodge or 4 cyl. If you know whats done to your car, you will know what I am talking about.
5. And what exactly do you do with cnc lasers? Deliver them somewhere? And Your answer better be good on this one, as you have NO idea what I do for a living. lol
You made me do this. Like I said, when I started reading your post about your car, I was genuinely excited to see a car done like that. Now I so much doubt that you will even man up enough to tell me if you were trying to bull**** us let alone post some pics so we could all see this car. Not only for the fact to make ME look like a dip****, but because I really want to see the car. Be a man, post some pics, answer my questions and prove me wrong. I posted pics AND a video of my car, its the least you could do, if your man enough. I guess we will see...[sm=popcorn.gif]

Yeah, post pics of the Z and your 100,000dollarRoadrunner and the long list of cars you just posted. If you were a car person like you said you are, you would have posted pics now. Your response is laughable at best, you didn't doany of the things I asked, you didn't post picsand I think you may have half assed answered two of my questions. So howabout some specs of this Godzilla turbo? I can give you all the specs on my turbo thats on my RT. Do you really even have a turbo car? Do you know anything about turbododges? Post some damn proof! Your less than readable grammar shows me nothing but your lack of attention to detail. If I have friends that are worth anything in the "racing" scene in Tulsa? lol I doubt any of them are into the racing scene, as thats a ricer thing, but, there are a couple of Spirit RTs living near you that will shortly be on the lookout for you so you can get the chance to show a RT car you bumper! [sm=icon_rofl.gif]One of them has a t3/t4 50 trim hybrid turbo on it, but that shouldn't scare you with you GODZILLA TURBO [sm=icon_rofl.gif]X2 And as far as the clipped rods, you were the one that said that, Mr dumas. Not me. I don't just randomly come up with stuff! IF you are as loaded as you claim to be, you would have a camera, everyone does. POST SOME PICS! Prove me wrong. I will admit that I am wrong and eat my words if you can provide some kind of proof.
Here again are the questions you avoided to answer....
1. Who makes this GODZILLA turbo? Let me guess it was you at your shop! LMFAO
2. Some specs on this magical turbo?
3. Flow numbers on the head? anyone serious about building an engine gets their head flowed, its just common sense.
4. Which kind of TD head is it? IF you know anything about the car, you will know what I am talking about.
In closing, your reply SUCKED. You did nothing to prove what your talking about, and just made more outrageous claims. I am beginning to think I stumbled onto the high school Dodge forum, because the forum I am on, no one acts like this. They post pics because they are car people and proud of what they do. Its like having kids and not having pics of them, its just not going to happen. My cars are my kids, and I can post pics, vids, give specs, whatever. The reason why, I am not full of ****! Man up, answer my numbered questions in order, post pics or dont even bother to post. You do nothing to help your case by opening your mouth and making yourself sound like a 16 year old who is taking out his ass. PROVE ME WRONG! You are not going to prove anything by talking. And with a sig like the one you have, no wonder you come off as a high school kid. "They call me demon because I fight and drive like I am trying to get out of hell!" BWAHAHAHAHA Maturity just flows from that sig. [sm=loser.gif]And could you post some more details about what you do for a living? I am feeling just a little BS coming from there too. Again, word your answer about your job correctly. You may be surprised to find out what I do for a living, but I am not going to say anything until you prove you not trying to bull**** us with your job.
One other thing, who puts a ram air intake on there car "just for looks" or is that me getting screwed up with you piss poor grammer?
I said it in my last post, I will say it in this one....
[sm=ttiwwp.gif]
Please prove me wrong so I no longer have a reason to keep coming to the "highschool" dodge forum.
Thank you, that is all...
P.S. Please, if you do decide to man up, and I dont mean by blabbering about somthing you cant prove. Take a breath, slow down and remember there is a little button called a period. Its right next to the comma, which is just below the L key. You can find that right?
P.P.S Did you even bother to look at my proof I gave you? I noticed you didnt call me out on anything, oh yeah, thats right, thats because I posted proof!
Ok, I am done....

Day 1, test and tune is over and was it a Friday the 13th. Keep in mind this is the first time we have been to the track since the 52mm throttle body, underdrive pully and the stall converter. The motor and trans is out of a caravan, computer is the daytona's original. The best time so far (before today)was 15.05. First run today was in the$*%@*$^#& 18's!!! Talk about what the hell!! Car was a total dog, wouldn't even break'em loose for the burn out. Another run... 18's again. It was like a totaldifferent car. So first thing we think of is the guy ripped us off on the converter cause it was a ptc (we had to have a different spline welded into it) we got it back painted a different color and not in the original box. Hmmm. So after further debate, we find a short that leads to the computer, so we put the original one from the caravan back in. First run with that was a 16.06 and it shifted way early so we made an adjustment. I am kicking myself for not having at least my cameraphone for the next run...the burn out wasawesome, it looked like it came from a 10 second car. There againI didn't get a pic so you'll just have 2 trust me.After breaking them loose off the line it ran a 14.64 atI think92 mph. We also have to run DOT slicks for this race... I will scan a copy of the time slip to post on here also, just for you skeptics. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

I have a lot of respect for the 3.0s after my buddys N/A whooped my SHO on the freeway! [sm=insomnia.gif]Made me want to get this electric blue 92 3.0 thats in my area as a daily driver to my RT. Come take a look at it! http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2520591 There isn't much done to it yet. 2.25" exhaust with dynomax muffler and a cone airfilter. I'm gonna go to the junkyard and get a 52mm throttle body when the snow is gone. Between work and school I don't have alot of time to work on it. Can you guys please tell me what you think?

Oh yes, bottle. I believe our last run on friday was in the 18's, we found the nos solenoid wasn't openingbut the fuel was, so we were running an xtra injector making ittoo rich. Saturday was a good day though. The next thing we are going to do is seeif we can tell if we got hosed on the converter. I don't recall what year caravan but its computer is better than the stock daytona one it has to have different fuel curves and such. I want to find a 58mm throttle body and the computer that goes with that model caravan. If anyone has one let me know.

i still cant believe that....i mean a 14.6 isnt a bad time but on the bottle it is. I know even brent was breaking into high 14s on basic bolt ons. It just does not make any sense to me why you arent running mid to low 14s at least with that big shot of nos and the bolt ons you have.

Well lets see what has he done (brent??)to his car? We have done 0 weight reduction what tire size is he running, is he running street tires, dot slicks, slicks? Has it even been to the track? Not to get pissy but why dont you offer some constructive critism instead of just saying its slow with the bottle, maybe he has something we dont and havent thought of it. I am the only one that talks about racing one of theses and posts pics to prove it.
irocelectric93
04-24-2007, 06:03 AM
Whoa calm down first....im not dissing you at all....im just sort of puzzled. Brent honestly if i remember right which at the time it was in his spirit....had little to no weight reduction. It wasnt the first time to the track either.....he started in the 15s/16s then worked his way down. What is killing your times in my opinion is the auto. To pull a 14.6 is still nothing to be ashamed of at all. Im just trying to figure out here if something is holding you back besides the rev limiter.

Cant find my 14.8 slip, just 14.9's....or ANY slips from before 2005 (when I had raced the car as an auto) Spirit, 2950# race weight 4speed auto trans in 2002..Sea level that car ran 16.1 with 52mm tb and NO mods on 4 speed auto @ low 80mph. Removed exhaust after cat and it ran 15.48@87.99 on the auto trans. My friend josh simon (who has the fastest n/a 3.0 without crazy mods 14.2@97ran the same)had his spirit run 16.1's@82mph with 52mm tb and some better 60's on a 3 speed auto so I dont see a big difference between the transmissions at this performance level.
After race season I went ported plenum, 58mm TB, full 3" exhaust.
Swaped to a 5 speed trans with fidanza aluminum flywheel in the spirit and 1 week later....
Out of town for 2 years
Back for 2005 race season. I race all season at high altitude with the 5 speed trans and the new mods.
Visited my parents for 2 weeks back at sea level. All my traps were 91-92mph and 14.8-14.9 with 2.2 60's on all season tires and suspension mods.
Turbocharged the car and ran 13.9@101.89mph on 5psi boost, same street tires but only 2.3 60'
The only numbers that we are really "bugging" about are the trap speeds. They are way low. I think you are having serious issues with the auto trans. I would suggest at least buying a manual trans setup to make some runs with if you are serious about getting your car "right". then you can see where your auto should be and then use the auto if you are bracket racing etc.
N/A cars about the same weight as yours are running 89-90mph with no spray. I am assuming your converter is "lock up"
Still you should not have insane converter slip in a 90mph car.

Ok give some ideas to make it faster. We want low 14's a high 13 would be great. Post any and all ideas lets see if we can come up with something.
OurDaytona is a 1986 Turbo Z that we purchased new on August 14, 1986. The car has been a garage queen almost from day one and currently shows just 7025 oruginal miles. I know its boring to some but its pretty much bone stock. I can't find any pics here to post but, there is one at www.SDAC.org (http://www.SDAC.org). Go to the site and hit the PHOTOS icon, then the SDAC-15 icon, my car is on page 3, its the last car in row 2.
