Default Problem Diesel Shutdown



<FONT face=Arial size=3>1995Dodge 2500 4 x4 Diesel Automatic Transmission has problem after 4 hrs. of highway travel at 70 MPH with cruise control on truck will shutter. I pulloff the road put transmission in neutral engine will reve up high then cut off, after 10 min. truck will starts normal, drives normal for the next 4 hrs. of trip. This is the 4th time in 4 years the same thing has happened. The last timeit happened the truck had 111,000 miles on it.</FONT></P>


<FONT face=Arial size=3>If anyone has had any of the above problems pleaserespond and let me know what your experiencewas.</FONT></P>

HOW OFTEN DO YOU CHANGE THE FUEL FILTER? SHOULD EVERY YEAR. ALSO THE VACUUM PUMP CAN GIVE THIS SYMPTOM, IF HAS A LEAK. ARE YOU SHURE YOU DON'T HAVE A TRANS. PROBLEM. A BURNED TORQUE CONVERTER CAN CAUSE A SHUDDER. AND CAUSE THE ENG. TO STOP AT NEUTRAL, CAUSE IT'S LOCKED UP.
