ive got a 99 4x4 with the 318. man ,this thing eats the gas up! the last time i filled it and reset the trip odometer i got only about 200 miles to that tank. can an o2 sensor cause this? im sure i need a tune up anyways but ive never heard of losing nearly 100 mpg from some bad plugs.

My truck isn't getting the best milage right now, but I just changed the spark plugs to NGK-V power. I used to get 200 miles per tankand even less. In the winter I only got 155 miles per tank.

Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall.
Torque is how far you push the wall.

jeez just keep out of it and u should do better, those sound like my low end winter numbers on my truck i usually get 230-250 between gas stations, but thats my truck idk maybe im nicer to mine than you are
I don't no what else to do, but most of the time I drive city. I have 30 mile trips on the highway every week and that's it. Once it hits summer I will be able to squeeze out like 250 miles, but that is with the needle past the last white line.

I would say we get more miles because of the 2wd. I also have the 2wd 3.9 and during the summer I get 300 to 315 per tank and during the winter I get between 265 to 280.
