Default 1990 Dodge ram 150 transmission shaking

Sup people i havent been around in awhile an thought i'd pick yall's brains fora sec. I'v got a 1/2 ton 1990 ram 150 that i use for work an i just had to replace alot of **** on the tranny, hoses sensors etc etc. Well i just got done with it today an now for some odd reason every time u put it in reverse the engine will revup an then the truck will shake like hell an i can hear the engine choking an then it stalls. I tried to see if maybe i got a wire crossed on the speed sensor or the shift moduler. But it still does it, It has a 500 series 4spd tranny. If any one has any ideas i'd love to hear them. Tranny shops keep sayin bring it in an **** but i dont wanna drive it half way cross town with itacting weird an have to pay a tow bill to get it there an back. Thanks guys
