Default Cold air intake question!

Anyone runs K&N cold air intake like this one?

Is it worth it? I'm just about to spend $200 for one and was wandering if some had notice a difference and improvement?

the FIPKs are nice... not true cold air, but with the air inlet right inside the heat shield, its alot better than a short ram intake... I think its a good idea. I am still thinking of how to make my own that is a true cold air... the only problem is finding a spot in the fender large enough for a decent sized conical filter...

I have an Airaid and I felt some differences. The best part was the rumble under the hood. The difference will come when you install a new exhaust system. It'll breath a hell of a lot better between the two of them.

My K&N 77 Series intake installed over 11/2 years ago. Well worth it. If you have the bucks, order a modified throttle body from www.thefastman.com and install them together. These, plus a less restrictive exhaust system will add 10-15+ hp.

I agree with luvmydak... if you can afford it, you will gain the most with that setup. although K&N claims 9.something hp it has to be at the crank...

Airaid was claiming like 10 at the wheel. That's why I got that setup. Now I have a TrueFlow filter, I'm probably getting the same amount, maybe a little more....

So maybe K&N is getting 9.something... seems like a lot from an intake.
