Well first Gen production finished in 1996, then 1997, new Body style till 2004, then 2005 got the new look until maybe 2008 edition's.

alot of people dont call what they did in 92 enough to make it another gen. it would be like calling the 08 dakotas another generation.

I couldn't believe it when I logged on here, and saw all you 05+ calling it a GEN 3!
Says alot about how muych you know of your beloved Dakotas history, etc.
