Default Headlights Flickering On and Off

A friend of my has a 2002 Dodge Dakota 4x4 quad cab. Once the car warms up the headliights will turn on and off very fast. I changed the headlight switch yesterday and it did it again today. It doesn't do this a idle, only at faster speeds. What do you think? Fuse? Ground? Anybody have the issue before? Any help will be VERY MUCH APPRECIATED! If anyone needs a headlight / fog / dome switch assembly I have two now - I will be happy to sell one if you need it.

Thanks - I hope to get some help in here.

Do both do it? If they do it's unlikely it's a loosefuse, there is a seperate fuse for each side. Check the headlight relay. It may be bad.

I will check that out - however, I have no idea where that relay is at ? This is a friend's truck.

Thanks fro the fast post - I will snoop around the fuse box and look for a bad fuse connection.

The relay is right in the distribution box under the hood. Like I said I doubt it is a loose fuse. Both fuses would have had to go bad or loose.

I'm having the exact same problem!!! I purchased a "relay" for the dome light because the autoparts store told me that several relays go through the headlights. So it could be any one of the relays. They told me totry each relay first, then as a last resort, replace the switch. The only problem I'm having isI have no clue where to find the old relay switch. I looked under the hood in the power box but I don't see where it belongs. Any luck?

Default We fixed it!!!!

In our case - it was the MAIN CONTROL MOD. Switched it out and it worked.
