i'm really digging the way other chargers around my area look with larger rims. i'm thinking of going 22" but i know my car wont perform as well as with the stock rims/tires.  how do you guys feel about a decision like this? will this violate my warranty even though some chargers are sold with custom 22s?

If you like it go for it, don't worry it will not violate your warranty.

I loved rims coming up in my area of Houston thats what you bought cars to do.  But if you are a performance person (what I'm trying to become) you will loose gas mileage and horsepower.  But since I can't leave my South Houston ties I have to at least throw some 20s on this car.  Just my 2 cents, so do what ever makes you feel happy.

For me, personally, I wouldn't go bigger than 20".  Reason - performance loss, mpg loss, and ride quality.  Bigger wheels require tires with shorter/lower sidewalls.  That gives you less flex and ride quality suffers (what can I say - I just turned 60 .  Love my burnouts, though ).  I've seen a couple around here with some kind of black wheel.  I think that looks really sharp - kind of intimadating looking and seems to set off the color of the car no matter what color it is.  Anyway, ultimately, it's your car and you do it the way you want.  The main this is to have fun!!!!

Woo Hoo!  Marty!  You've been a busy boy!!  Very nice! Just goes to show you what I know about things .  What size are they?  Those are outstanding.  I don't think the "black" wheels I've seen would look as good on your car with your color.  Man, that is nice!  I gotta get the side moulding off of mine. Maybe tomorrow.

i previously had a mazda millenia with 20s on it. i drive on the highway alot. i noticed that with the rims on i had better mpg (but of course a way lower city mpg). do you think the increase on highway mpg with the rims on is due to heavier momentum?

sgutie87 I have 22's on my Charger though I have noticed some loss in ride, it probably also has alot to do with the fact that I'm running 30's on it.. As soon as I burn these off I'm going with atleast a 35 .... but on the flip side of that, I am suprised at the ride i do get with the 22's, I expected worse. I also have a 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier on 18's that has been lowered so the Charger rides like a Cadillace to me. hahahaha. I plan to airbag my charger so with the 30's I will get a lower drop but I'm all tossed up about going to the 35's... got for it... I gotta get some pics up of my charger ....hmmmm.. ok good luck ..
