I like what I'm seeing (except the rear reminds me of the Malibu), I just wish it had an updated 3800 instead of that HF engine. It doesn't fit Pontiac marketing.

Why not? I think it actually could help Pontiac a ton....and I would seriously consider purchasing this car....much as I would consider a 300C or a Magnum R/T.....

Wow V8 rear drive and a stick! Too bad nobody at chrysler can figure this out. I told my wife as soon as she gets these in I want to drive one!

+10

Main reason I'd consider it first is because its a 6spd stick.....that alone sells me on the car....

Looks like the GTO with some BMW styling cues. Nice interior too.

But..................

It's still a P.O.N.T.I.A.C. (figure it out if you don't know)

I like the styling, I'm just not sold on the HF V6 (3.6L V6) engine is all. The thing is GM is starting to offer that engine in almost all their cars, this is a mistake they make all too often. If youare considering theMagnum R/T & 300C, I can't image you would consider the V6 version. I don't have a problem with them offering the LS2, infact that is exactly what I would offer if not the LS7 as a top option.

I'd still consider it, its just that I don't think the HF engine fits Pontiac's marketing. It is more for people who care about refinement over performance, Pontiac is marketed for people who care more about performance over refinement. If they offer this engine in all the divisions it will cause inner competition amongst the divisions instead of reaching to other segments as they could with pushrod engines.
