My 97 has about 70K on it.. no tranny probs yet... and it gets 15MPG at best.

My 94 (which I am still working on) gets crappy milage and uses 3 quarts of oil in 400 miles (on the highway)... am fixing that soon

My 94 has 113,000 on her and she's a champ. No problems whatsoever... tranny or otherwise.

As far as the Tranny issues the 46re is the one you wanna look out for. I have a96 with 90k on it now. It still runs great. I have yet to have any issues with the trans....but an still keeping my fingers crossed. One thing you wanna look for is pull the air intake off and look down the throtle body. If you see oil in it its a good sign of a plenium leak.

Other than that, just check anything else you would when buying a used vehicle.

Good luck.

BTW: I wish I had employees that would do non job related tasks for me! LOL J/K

Yeah, I was just messin with ya.

One way you can figure it out is take the VIN number to the dealer and see if they will give you the build sheet.
