Default Who's running the Flowmaster Cat-Back???

I'm seriously thinking about getting the Flowmaster cat-back system for our (generation) trucks.....who's actually got it already???

Talking about this one:

Like how's the bends in the pipes?

Cheesy or a nice exhaust tip??

I had this same style exhaust (50 series SUV) on my '04 Dakota, and it sounded awesome....but I'm just wondering about the actual parts.

Default RE: Who's running the Flowmaster Cat-Back???

I have a 2006 Dakota with the flowmaster 50 (Not suv) duals out the back with 3' tips.
Sounds awesome!!! I wouldn't go with the 40 sicne i feel what i have to loud enough, any more and I wouldn't be able to hear people talking in the cab.

cat-back, you mean an entirely new exhaust system or just running the flow master on the line...ANYWHO, I have a single 40 series muffler installed. And yes, if you dont have sound deadening material installed or dislike excessive interior noise, get the 50 series. My super 40 is LOUD...

Default RE: Who's running the Flowmaster Cat-Back???

I had a Flowmaster 40 on my last Dakota and on my new Dakota, both sounded good at idle you don't hear anything but a nice low deep rumble, I had a Quad Cab and can have all 4 windows all the way down and not even have an issue talking of hearing.......it is far from a loud exhust at idle only gets loud when you punch it......at the freeway at cruise it sounds great but you can turn off the radio and have a convo without any issue.....I would have to question on that set up what muffler they are using from Flowmaster....I would get a 40 hands down...better flow better sound better performance....I have the single out the right side just like what you have there and I just love it....duals out the back is what everyone and their brother has now days.

Well like I said.....that specific "cat-back system" from Flowmaster comes with the 50 Series SUV muffler.....I had it on my '04 Quad Cab and loved it

I'm just wondering if any one with a '05-'07 actually has it and what they think of the quality and fitment. I already know it'll sound good....so that's not a problem.

And yeah no offense to people running it, but I don't like the duals out the back......I just want the single side exit in the factory location. If I had the money though, I'd go for this Gibson system (like the Lightnings used to have--picture is of a Ram though):
