This thread is intended so everyone can get to know each other a little better so we can be more of a "community" (sentimental I know:D). Im Duncan. I am from Valhalla Beach, Manitoba, Canada. I am 16 years old, turning 17 on the 18th of this month. I drive a 2005 Dodge SX2.0 Sport ( Canadian Variant of the Dodge Neon SXT ) , and have a 1973 Pontiac Ventura 350 BB (BIG project) . I am a big time hockey player for a small town called Riverton , and have won the league 3 consecutive times, and won the province 2 times in a row. I also ref hockey as i have my level 2 Hockey Canada Endorsment. I also play guitar and i am the lead singer of my band "The Audiosexuals" ( look that up on urban dictionary ) . Ok, first off my name Eric. I go by the screen name "04 MO NEON". I am 18, 19 in 5 months and I drive a 2004 dodge neon sxt, with the electric blue paint and a sport appearance package.
Also I'm from Columbia, Mo, home of the MU tigers and pretty much the coolest city in Missouri.

Now for some background information, I bought this car new off the lot when I just turned 16 and new nothing about cars. The only thing I got right was the paint which is freaking sweet. If I had been into cars like I am now I would have probably bought a srt-4 and thought I was hot ****, but looking back on it I'm kind of glad that things turned out the way they did. I got into the sport compact world for the most part b/c my best friends where in it. On has driven a civic pretty much and the other a Toyota supra 89 N/A fully rebuilt. So once I went out and saw what street racing was all about, from that point I was hooked. Plus seeing a twin turbo track ready 600 rwhp rx7 (round style) and a sleeper 450 all whp gallant vr4 race was pretty much the coolest street race I've ever seen and couldn't stop after witnessing that. Gallant won by the way, no traction for the rx7.

My attitude towards street racing is this, I have fun but I don’t but endanger people who don't want to be. Meaning yeah I'll speed but only for short distance and in areas where there is low risk of getting hurt. Pretty much I don't drive stupid. PERIOD
This is why I have yet to get in an accident or get a speeding ticket. Have gotten a trespassing ticket though, which was total BS.

Currently I am attending Kansas State University, and I am studying for a master’s degree in architecture. Only 9 more semester lol. I love architecture and I already know that 5 years are going to go by FAST. GO STATE!
Being a college student and the fact that what I plan on doing next for my car requires a lot of money, I will probably have to wait 2-3year before I really get into the good stuff but maybe some rims and tires, plus coil-over's will be what’s next for me.
Back to college though, I love being in college and that is what I am pretty much about, no girl yet, but I'm working on that. Kind of hard to find one to when you spend 40 hours a week in studio (main class for architecture where we learn about architecture and draw and build models) it makes things a little more say challenging. I actually think that the reason I'm in architecture is the same reason I like cars, b/c design what both are about. I like clean lines and that actually can be seen both in what I design architecturally and how I modify my car.


Some more information about me as a person would be that I LOVE to play golf, I was on the high school team for my last to year of high school and we missed state twice b/c of stupid mistakes but whatever it was still fun. I also played tennis my first year but the coach was a DI*K and I quit the team. I have a sister and 2 dogs, my parents but luckily no kids yet. Whew lol. Other than that most of the time I'm either hanging out with my friend’s street racing, playing pool, playing CS, in class or OF COURSE on DODGEFORUM.com! This by the way is really the best forum I have seen as far as its quality of information and people.


Ok on to my car finally. My car has one simple theme which I guarantee will eventually be fulfilled, go fast and look clean. I don't really care about winning street races but I would like to be able to beat 70% of the cars on the road and have fun by being able to top out my car with ease.

What's done to it: CAI, Engine Dress kit, Tint had 5% all the way around but parents weren't to ok so 35% it was (BS, ill get it changed back in a year or so), anyway I also have a Tusudo header, brushed aluminum front strut bar, engine dress kit, Magnaflow cat back exhaust, Depo black led taillight, Srt-4 spoiler, and clear corner lenses.

What I eventually want done to it: Mopar ground effects lip kit, remove side molding, hotckis front and rear sway bars, coil-over’s, nex-o px5's 17in rims, Goodyear eagle f1 tires, painted brake calipers, retro headlights, under glow (debating) blue, shorty antenna, 60 mm MPX Throttle body, slotted rotor all 4 with the rt/srt back rotor swap, ceramic brake pad......

....Now the engine is the biggest thing that I will do, My thought is an r/t motor and trans, completely rebuilt top and bottom ends, 20g or bigger turbo kit running 20-25 psi, stage 2 clutch, and Mega squirt running the entire show, of course there is a lot of specifics gauges, vacuum manifold etc..... But pretty much MY GOAL IS 300 FWHP AND 0 RWHP. Which I think is pretty achievable.

Well I guess All that is left is some pics and my final thoughts. My goal is to have 3 neon’s, 1st one being my current car with what I've said, another one for everyday driving with a swapped srt-4 motor and most ever carbon fiber component carbonbydesign sells, and the electric blue color. Also it will look like a srt-4, and finally a srt-4 that I will have bored to 2.6 and twin turbo, and I will try my heart out to reach the 1000 hp mark, of course this will only be for track and VERY limited street use. Hopefully by 35 I’ll have that accomplished lol.

My name is Dustin I am 17, turning legal in 6 months. I live in Lebanon, MO (the sh*ttiest sh*t hole in MO.)I dont have a neon yet but im looking into a blue sxt like 04 MO Neon's. I need to correct you on one thing. Blue springs, a kansas city suburb is the coolest city in Missouri. Its been one hell of a ride learning all sorts of new stuff i never thought existed hehe. Well hopefully I can get enough money for my neon towards this summer. thats about it on my end until i get my car.

Wow I guess I am #3 here from Missouri. My name is jason I am 30 and I live in simco, MO (I think the smallest town in missouri, I can see both town signs from my front yard). When my son was about 1yr old I realized I needed a 4 door car and the neon seemed to be a good choice. For now the only mods I have done to my 05 SXT are a CAI and dropped it with some Skunk2 springs, hope to get more done if I can ever find the time.

Nice to meet you Jared! My name is Jerry and I'm 39 and 11/12th (that means my birthday is next month :)). Anyway, I have a 2001 R/T, black, no mods yet, just got it last month, has just over 60k miles on it. Oh I have done one mod, check out my cardomain.com profile (link in my sig), it's on page 2. I think you will like it. Plus I don't have the stock spoiler for an R/T, at least I haven't seen any others like it, this is what was on it when I bought it.

I live in Kannapolis NC, home of NASCAR and the Earnhardts although I'm not a fan, but I do live right down the street from where Dale Jr's grandpa is buried, ole Ralph Earnhardt himself. I know that is kind of morbid, but hey, if all Kannapolis can muster is a tourist trap called the Dale Trail (for Dale Sr) and it has a stop at his daddy's grave who am I to argue with that! :)

So far I have learned quite a bit about Neons since my purchase and look forward to learning more about modding and maintenance on what I hope will someday be a classic! Not necessarily mine but Neons in general :) So when does a car become a classic? 25 years? So in 2026 I will be sittin pretty. Can you imagine a 60 year old driving around in a 2001 neon?

Anyway... 29 years old, married, baby coming in 2 months.Living in Honolulu, HI now, originally from Massachusetts. Been fiddlin' with cars for almost 14 years now. I've owned all types of cars from an olds 442 to saab turbos to BMW's. I'm here due to once owning 3 neons...

First purchase was an 03 neon bought brand new in June of 2003... Modded it N/A for a while and put down 120whp and 126wtq and ran a 15.9 @ 86mph. Recently got rid of the car, but the car made 219whp and 244wtq at 10psi. No track runs on the turbo set-up.

2nd purchase was a 2001 ACR Turbo. A buddy of mine rolled it over and bought it back from the insurance company. Bought the whole car minus the turbo/manifold/oil pan for $550. Bought it mainly for the Magnum head to swap on my SXT, but used alot of other things like Walbro, ruturn line, fittings, etc...

Third purchase was a 98 Plymouth neon, base model. Bought the car off a friend of mine that needed room. His wife thought 4 neons was too much. Picked it up with 98,000 miles on it for $500. Car was an automatic rental in its first life. When i got it was a 5 speed daily driver. This car was the best mod i bought for my SXT-t. lol Mods included a Hot air intake, automatic TB, solid mounts, and EGR block off. Car ran 15.8 at 84mph... car was pretty quick and surprised many. After stripping it it weighed 2560lbs with me in it.

Anyways, my name is dave, I'm 25. I live in michigan near grand rapids. I have a bachelors in finance from GVSU (if you follow div II football, doubt anyone does, you'll probably hate my school since they have been national champs 4 of the last 5 years). I have an 04 neon sxt that I bought 4 years ago. I used to mod it a lot but now that I'm on my own now it is a little tougher. But I still do things here and there. It has the usual I/E and mounts. It is dropped as well. I have been to the track with it. I used to go a lot, but I haven't been in a year mostly due to working 45-50 hours a week last year. Best Et to date is a 16.05, best trap to date is at 88mph. My original goal and current goal is to boost (most likely srt swap), but don't see it happening for a long time. I have more priorities then that at the moment. I like to go up north and be out in the wilderness (yep, don't really have that where I live). I love photography, I take tons of pictures. Thats about it, here is a pic of my car a couple months ago and then one of how it sat over the summer.

What's cracking....my name's Derek and I usually go by "D"...i'm 19 and live right near Chattanooga TN or Rossville GA....I recently had a 2005 white automatic sxt....I couldnt handle the automatic transmission it was putting me to sleep lol....so i pulled out all my aftermarket parts I put on it and traded it in for a manual...i;m happier with the color and it has a spoiler as well...the new one is gunmetal and 2004....it has less miles, more power, and a spoiler lol for less money than i was paying for my 2005 white neon....great deal!!! unfortunately both cars interiors were awful...real dirty...I cant afford to buy the car brand new, in fact im making payments on this used one...Im attending college at Dalton State Ga.....I bought a cold air intake on ebay for like 20 bucks and put my expensive autozone K&N air filter on the tube instead of their lame small cone filter....the K&N filter is huge and I like saying I have a custom K&N intake lol.....i'm looking into buying a srt-4 gauge cluster bc they are so much cooler than the neons....I measured the neon's trunk and built a custom sub box for it...just to get the box in or out you have to remove the spare tire lol!! I had two 12" eclipses in it...but i blew those up...im now running two 12" audiobahn flame q'swhich im convinced didnt sound as good as the eclipses but hammer just as hard...my amp is a 3600 watt monoblock Pyle Dryver....the amp can handle a 1 ohm load so thats what im running lol!!! I have a small crappy legacy capacitor and a big x-static battcap for backup power....my headunit is a pioneer 6800 and i love it...I used to drive a 1989 datsun/nissan 300zx 5-speed manual turbo...that car could stomp 5.0 mustangs!!! so now im driving this neon....i need power!!! ive already bought a turbo and exhaust manifold of a srt-4....im awaiting money for the other parts and i cant wait to try to run up against a srt-4!!! I'm running bosch platinum plus plugs and havnt had trouble out of them...i heard the +2's and +4's sometimes arc their sparks so i dont use those...like i said i had the automatic...apparently the auto's come with a slightly bigger throttle body...i can tell by the roar of my intake on the 5-speed that that is true..the 5-speed is not as loud....oh well i plan on upgrading mine to a 60mm anyway...SUPER LONGTERM PLANS...I plan on installing forged connecting rods and a better camshaft and piston rings so i can run at least 16lbs of boost!!! I want the turbo toys!!! that sounds so awsome...im a perfectionist so unfortunately i will be trying to run parts that are more expensive than I can afford...so it may be quite awhile before my turbo neon project is complete...im on here somewhat often bc this site is so great and dependable...

What's up everyone? My name's Jesse and I go by blazingdisciple just about everywhere. I just got a 2003 Neon SE and I plan on making it a sleeper car that tears people up, lol. I live in Las Vegas, NV like qnr69 but I wasn't born here. I was born in Anaheim, CA and grew up in Lake Havasu City, AZ. I'm 23 (24 in like 8 days) and haven't really done anything to my car yet. I have an AEM CAI and I friggin love the way my car sounds just with that. I plan on putting some exhaust on there with some long tube headers and then on to megasquirt. From there, probably not much until I put the turbo on there....I might just do an SRT-4 swap since I'd gain a manual tranny from that as well. Can't wait to complete my ES-4, lol. Peace!

Im brian, i spend 40 hours a week playin cop and the other 128 playing the robber. ive been racing since 14 in the junior leages and road course ever since. i have a 7yo daughter who is growing up a major tomboy and can take a punch better than i can.

when i turned 14 my father got me a renault and had me learning how to fix it make it faster and to controll it. living in hershey my familey wasnt poor but the people around me were loaded and i needed every trick i could get to keep up. i have alway had a part time job as a machanic but i get too angry in 8 hrs a day.

Well hello to everyone out there in Dodge land. My name is Kris I'm a 27 year old male from Dover Delaware. Ive been on the forum for about a year. My Dodge is a 2002 ES with a slushbox. The car is basically stock except my low profile tires. I'm getting a huge tax return this year half is going into a money market fund and the other half into the neon. This is my 2nd Dodge but my 100th and something car. I purchase cars for cheap that need a little bit of work fix them and then resell them.The neon is a daily driver with about 90k on the body and 50k on the engine. Hello thought i would finaly introduce my self on here since i have been commin to the site for a long while and finaly decided to sign up not long ago. I am Cat, 23 year old Female from Arizona. I know a bit about cars and i am a Neon Fan, ever since i had my first one a 1996 Neon Standard, nothin special on it i never wante to go back to my oldsmobile. Now i have a 2004 Neon SE, stock seriously nothing special, i am still payin on it so when i get it paid off and get the money up i am going to start doing modifications on it.


I got stuck in a snow storm in Payson, Az my car ran a lot better in the higher altitude and colder air then it did where i live and that first car in the pic is my baby.

My name is Allen, I am 24yrs old. From Bowmanstown, pa. I just recently got an 2000 neon for a daily driver with 62k miles now. I have ak&ncone filter attached to the tb in the airbox,I plan on installing a long tube header, catback, possibly a cam when I do my timing belt. I also have a 94 camaro z28, I have had this car for almost 6years now. It has full bolt ons, nothing done internal, my best et is 13.1@ 104. I have everything needed to install my crower cam, plan on doing so this summer. I do not have a garage or I would be installing it now, but its a little cold out.

Welcome to the site Kevin! I've found that the easiest way to determine which trim you have is to simply see if you have a tach in your gauge cluster. If theres no tach its an SE, if you have a tach its an SXT.

Welcome to the site Jessica! Your very ambitious by choosing the V6 route...the easiest motor swap by far would be the 2.4 out of a PT or SRT-4, I've only heard of a few 2.7 Neons and they were all 1st Gens with tons of custom fabbing. So all I can say is good luck and have fun with the project!!

Hey, everyone! My name's Chuck and I just got my first Dodge car last month. It's a 2000 Neon - completely stock as far as I can tell. It had a few problems, some which seemed serious, that needed fixing when I bought it. Thankfully it turns out these were actually very minor and easy to fix. Here's a list in case anyone else runs into these problems.

1) After starting the car, the digital odometer display in the dash would flash the message "FUSE".
2) While driving the message "DOOR" would blink like crazy above the digital odometer display.
3) The dome light didn't go on under any circumstances.
4) After leaving the car alone all weekend, the battery was dead monday morning.
5) The horn doesn't work.

Took me a week to figure out what was wrong (drove me crazy too!) and 10 minutes to fix it. Bottom line, all of these problems were caused by the same thing: the driver's-side door switch.

Problem #2 tipped me off that the door switch needed replacing. The switch gave a false "open" message to the alarm system which set off the alarm and caused #4. Ultimately, the alarm and the dome light being on all the time probably drove the previous owner crazy enough that he disconnected the horn and removed the dome light bulb, causing #3 and #5. And since the dome light bulb somehow functions as a fuse in the electrical system the bulb being removed also caused #1.

New door switch: $8
New dome light bulb: $2
Time to replace these items: 10 minutes
Having a new (used) car in perfect working order without spending 100s to get it fixed right off the bat: Priceless.

Ive owned 4 cars 3 of wich i still have. 1rst was a 94 accord wich i wrapped in a tree( learned the hard to ALWAYS Wear A SEAT BELT). 2nd in the 00 dodge neon still have, 91 4wd civic wagon i got for free the guy said it was a hatchback but it wasnt, and my 87 crx si aka light weight beast...atleast it will a be a beast one day.:( to me the good thing about having a neon is that its a good car to learn on if you are a DIYer like me. ish brks down on it all the time an i fix it my self. Ive saved about a lil more 1k fixing stuffin my self. im not into big flashy ish on cars, no body kit, spoilers, or stickers, just a nice clean look. im more into power but thats what the crx is for. and last but not least he are some pics of my baby(s)

I own a 2005 dodge neon sxt, and a 96 dodge neon rt. I previously owned a 99 4dr sport that was in great condition but had no motor. Unfortunately my landlord had it crushed due to the fact I had it up on jack stands :(. My 05 is my daily driver right know but it is my big project. The 96 needs some work.

I work for BMW/MINI in Hartford CT as a technician and wouldn't trade it for the world. Both vehicle brands are great to work on!

Hello my name is Caleb I am 20, 21in September I'm from Ashland Ohio I bought an 2004 R/T, MT back in November, because I blew litterally blew the rearend outta my 1987 Dodge Dakota. I'm getting ready to put 17in Konig Hotswap wheels wrapped with 205/40/17 nitto Neogen tires on. I also plan on installing the K&N typhoon CAI in a couple weeks. I work at Walmart in the TLE.

My name is Aaron, I live in Northern California, near the Oregon Border. I have an '05 Dodge Neon SXT with the orange blast paint and rear spoiler. Picked it up for $10,999 new with 69 miles on the clock, with a $1,500 trade in, I have a vehicle with some equity in it now. Woo Hoo.

I have 5 kids between the wife and I, I'm 38, work as a Correctional Deputy for the last 13 years currently assigned the Court Division. My Neon has about 25,000+ on the clock, no problems whatsoever with exception to CD's sticking once in a while (I discovered that the player don't like the thicker stickers on the CD's like on some that were burned on a computer with a sticker on it from one of the kids). I run Castrol syntec and Wix/Napa Gold filters and put good quality gas in it. I think the motor just broke in as I pampered it the first 20,000 miles and now I get between 36 and 38 MPG average with a 40 in there for highway and I drive like a maniac. The car overall is a decent for the price. I looked at Honda's and Toyotas but couldn't justify the 7-10,000 dollar price difference. There is a trademark squeek from time to time when going around corners or getting situated on the drivers seat, I haven't discovered where it's coming from yet to oil that part of the seat. My only concern but have not pursued is the exhaust system looked like it got really hot as it turned slight purple-ish color(the whole exhaust) then turning back to the regular rusty metal look, I suspect it was when I put plus unleaded in it to see if it would run like a raped ape, it had power galore, the MPG went down a few though.

I like fishing and detailing cars. You may see my name appear on the Meguiars online forum, mostly just surf to get ideas to keep that Orange Blast paint looking good.

I enjoy this forum for ideas for my car. I don't plan on any mods yet, but I just put on some TSW Volcano wheels and the Zexius xi tires from Les Schwab, I put on 15" wheels with 195/55/15 tires, I really wanted the stock size to not worry about clearence or speedometer problems and the wife didn't like the 17" wheels and the cost of tires thrown in there for the 17's over my objections :D It looks nice and sorry I don't have pics yet but it looks good with the silver lip, gun metal color on the center with that Orange Blast paint just looks great. Those tires grip like crazy and with the tires being a little wider, handles a lot better.

Hello I'm Justin from St. Louis. I own a 2001 Neon as a daily driver. I however own the neons older relative the Dodge Shadow as my "race" car. It's currently broke (tranny) but is a little peppy. It is a 93 N/A 3.0 5spd. Best 1/4mile 14.6@93 w/2.0 60ft. That was before solid mounts, bobble strut, fidanza flywheel, Mccloed clutch (clutch slips badly on launch).

Hey My name is Jeremy I bought my 2000 Neon not too long ago and I am planning on working on the engine and interior if not ripping the old engine out and putting an SRT in. I love how the 2000 sits a lil high in the back and don't really wanna mess with that right now. I owned a 98 Neon that ran forever and a day. 350k miles before she finally went down. My son is in love with the idea he gets to help me work on this one seeing as he was not born when I had my Monte Carlo. I am from Chalreston SC and have some shops around here I can go to but would rather like to get my own hands dirty doing the work myself. The neon was a car that was meant to be driven, wether it be done by the old to the gear heads. This car has a tao, which most people learn of after they have owned a neon for a good while.

So..I'm 21.I work fulltime at a pretty much dead end job, but the people make it worth staying..heh. I just got my neon last November. It's a 2005 sxt.I love it. It's my first car and I'm so happy with my choice. So far my car is just stock. I've been trying to keep up with the payments and save enough money to get out of my parents house. I'd like to eventually get new head lights and tail lights for it, and maybe a body kit, I'm not sure about that one yet. As soon asI get a decent working camera, I'll post some pictures. Hey guys (and gals!) I'm Jon. I am from North Carolina and I own a dark blue 2005 Neon SXT. I bought the car last friday and the dealer only wanted 10,900 for it! And it only has 2,900 miles on it which is jawdropping in my opinion. I'm going to add a CAI first but am not sure what to do from there. But anyways, I'm glad to be a member. Welcome to the forum! When I got my 03 Neon SXT it was 13,5 with 1,100 miles on it or so... You got a steal for 10,9 and the low mileage!! Keep us posted on the mods and welcome to the forum!

Yeah what I like about this forum is that the "big bad "tuners" arn't here to harass you and call you a ricer every time you don't know something. I got into a forum fight with a local "tuner" because I didn't know something and he called me a ricer. I later came to find out he doesn't even do his own work and I called him out on it.

Hey All. My name is Matt and I'm from Ohio. I just bought my wife a 2005 Neon SXT yesterday for our 21st anniversary. I paid $10,700 for it and it only has 19k on it. Just a few options short of fully loaded. Bright silver metallic I guess is what the color is. It's a pretty sweet little car and we've had fun running all over the place in it. My name is Josh. I live in Cherry Point, North Carolinaattached to the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing. I don't know a whole lot about Neons except the fact they have great potential if one has the cash and the time. I drive a 2002 Neon with the standard 2.0L SOHC with an Automatic Trans. So far all I have done is added a cold air intake, a tornado and swapped out a few suction lines that it doesn't really need. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Like a said before I don't know much. Everything else including the wheels, is stock. If anyone knows a good place to pick up aftermarket parts for cheap or if you have some yourself please drop me a line.

Yeah, welcome Josh. I'm a "newbie" Neon owner too. But I come from a time when the cars in my stable were a '74 Plymouth RoadRunner and a '69 AMC Javelin SST. My right foot still remembers sweet V8 torque all too well. But I have always liked these Neons ever since the first one came out in the 90s. Even stock they just look sweet.I especially like the way they look like someone kicked them hard in the butt. Reminds me of the days when all us guys ran L-60s on the rear with air shocks and shacklesjacking the rear end up.

Hello everyone! ;)My name is Doug, and I'm 34 and live in Upstate NY... I'm coming from the streetbike side of things. Just decided a while ago to give that side up and try to find something alittle bit safer for myself. I just bought my 04 SXT during winter because it would be good on gas and a decent drive back and forth to work.

Now that I've had it for a few months, I've just simply fallen in love with this car! It's just such a fun car, and there's endless mods to do to it to help improve every aspect of handling and performance. I'm just getting started, but I only have one rule for anything I drive... My 2000 Dodge Neon Just gave me the Following Codes: 420,462,1193(not on your list) 1682 and 1684. On your list it tells me that 1682 and 4 are Driver line problems. what are these driver lines and numbers to them?

So far the only mods I want are projector headlamps and Lambo doors.

I got a 2002 SXT. So far I have a few decent things done to it. Motegi Racing MR7 wheels w/ kuhmo ecsta's, Weapon R WAI w/ K&N filter, Cat-back exhaust, carbon fiber door pillars, carbon fiber dash and interior kit, great sound system, (Rockford Fosgate 6.5"s and 6x9"s, RF AMP, RF Wiring kit, 2 10" MTX Thunder series subs, Kenwood head unit, and some dynamat in the trunk) and other various little things. I plan on getting headers, a good CAI, hi-flow cat, MSD hotwire spark plug set, getting it painted, and taking off the stock sxt/se spoiler, and putting on a carbon fiber srt spoiler. As for the 4" drop, thats not possible on a Neon without air bags...both of you look to have about a 2"-2.2" drop. Just my $.02 though...

well its not bags it has been measured its dropped 4 inches there slip over coilovers and the struts are $603 dollars dont be soo fast to down someones stuff and the pics do no justice for it

As you can tell from my screenname , names Mat. After driving my dads 00 ES for 6 months, he told me it was mine and I owed him $3k for it. Its completely stock right now, Im thinking of just lowering it, and rims for now. I have to replace the struts, so I plan to lower it then. Im planning on doing a swap to 5 speed, when I can find a spare motor and tranny with low miles. Car needs some work, but for now Im happy with beating hondas.

magnaflow is a good bang for da buck or vibrant exhaust. some peeps get da ebay cold air intake and buy a k&n filter. dats a good start

I have just gotten an '00 Plymouth Neon that I will be, over time, modifying for SCCA RalleyX. First will be SRT springs, KYB struts (which desperately needs), CAI and a custom catback with a FlowMaster 60.

I live in Underhill, Vermont and have owned everything from a hard core locked and lifted Explorer to a 1941 Plymouth.

The Neon is a fun car to drive and I look forward to sharing my experiences here.

Got a great deal on the package and love the tires. They stick well. Almost 2" drop with Megan Racing springs. Front crap strut tower bar. My own CAI. Magnaflow exhaust, punched cat, Megan UDP,Fancy indiglow gauge faces, CFgauge overlay, flip trunk mod, and a front lip from ventshade and Razzi sideskirts(damn dealer didn't try to upsell me the whole kit...just offered sideskirts...idiot)and that's about it. OH...I live inKansas City Missouri

Hey all...my name is Spencer and I live in a little town in northern Illinois...pretty boring. Currently, I do not own a Neon, but hopefully in the next week or two I will have a 2001 R/T. Right now I have a Dodge Ram 1500 Sport with a couple modifications. I am 17 and a senior in high school...can't wait to graduate. Around school I am known as the person who is always getting pulled over because of the loud exhaust on my truck and my stereo system. Right now I am on court supervision due toa speeding ticket (79 in a 55 in my moms Nissan Murano) so I have been a good boy since March:Dhaha. I can't wait to get my neon if my parents fly for it and let me get a loan to pay for it.

Hey everyone my Name is Neal and I live in Fallon, Nevada. It's a small town out side of Reno Nevada, you know the Biggest Little City in the World!! Iam the proud owner of a 2000 Dodge neon. My list of mods is short at the moment but i started off with new headlights soon to be changed to projectors, along with blacked out euro tails. I also threw in a set of Tokico struts and springs which dropped the back down about three inches and the front about two inches. I just need to finish off the suspension with new bushings and upper and lower strut and sway bars.While I was doing the suspensionI also put on some slotted and cross drilled rotors up front, I need to invest in the conversion kit for the back or pull some off of a SRT so if anyone knows anyone that has them laying around let me know :) I got hooked up with the first set of ICM Tsunami 17X7 wrapped in Kumho's on the west coast. As for apperance I have a R34 Octane front bumper, Z3 Fenders, Combat side skirts and Combat rear bumper. Now I just have to invest in the paint but I still have no idea what color I want to go with. As for performance the only thing I have right now is the cold air intake, as for future mods the list is almost endless but it involves a fully built motor, a turbo, alcohol and a little bit of juice! I also to to think of my-self as a 420A guru so if you have any questions just pm me and i will try and help you out. Also Iam a professional stereo installer and freak so if you want a system or need help on building boxes or tuning something in jit me up!

Dropped, there is no way to "chip" any year Neon PCM. If you have an 00-02 Neon you can purchase a AF/xR PCM from Howell Automotive, or install Megasquirt to control the fuel and/or spark, among other things for 00-05 Neons.

Hello, my name's Amber, and i'm an alcoholic. oh wait, wrong place. Anyway, i'm from northern Indiana (go Notre Dame!!) i drive a purple (not by choice) 2000 neon es (or se, can't remember). Her name is Sabrina, she's a slow, stock (except for the stereo) ride to work, and other places. I bought her almost 3 years ago after i totalled my intrepid for the second time, and i had to find something to buy in one day. Pretty sure she was either repoed or sitting in an impound for a couple years because her title is from Chicago, and she came with no key fob, and only 1 lonesome key that says "jeep". Her heat hasn't worked in 3 years, and she's starting to have problems, but hopefully i can fix them. Thanks for having this forum, i'm sure it will be very helpful for me in the future.

I have custom vinyls, and have painted my stock rims black till i get real black rims lol. homemade cold air injection. Hello everyone.[sm=hiya.gif] I've owned my 2004 SX 2.0 since new and still love it. It's totally stock except for a bigass stereo, CAI (had to fit in a bigger battery;)) and slotted frontrotors.

Lately I've been considering some cosmetic changes - headlights, taillights, maybe fascias, fenders, etc so expect some questions.

My name is Matt I just moved to WV from maine. I have a 2004 Dodge neon that is well STOCK. not sure what I want to do to it although I work fire and ems and am wanting to do some lighting that coinsides with work. I have added a pioneer head unit but that is it for now. my next install is a mobile radio then my dash light (in march when I go back to maine to get my stuff) and some strobes in the headlights and tail lights. Does anyone here know of anyone who has done this to a neon? I am trying to think of some mounting soulitions for a siren and radio and switch box??

I have also been in the army national guard for the last 7 years and love it.

as you can see lots of exterior modifications so far, and when the time is right and the 2.0 gives up the ghost she will take a much needed trip to the mechanic for some frankenstein work. nothing too crazy probably a 2.4l turbo and it will just be a garage queen at some point but there will be plenty of questions when that time comes.

Howdy yall. I'm brand new to this forum. My name is Aaron and I'm a student out in Louisville, KY. I just purchased a 2001 Dodge Neon ACR. It is unmodified except for a Mopar PCM (8hp), loosened fuel injectors (4hp), and Infiniti speakers. It should be pushin roughly 162 hp. It's a beautiful silver and has never been raced, so the adjustable suspension is still working wonders (I'm getting ready to loosen it up a bit as it is way too stiff).

hi my names cody and i'm 17 and i have a 2000 chrysler neon LE. i've put a K&N cold air intake system, and2000 watt sound systemso far but i am looking to give it some kick in the future and i was just wondering if anybody could give me some advice on the right track to go in this process. i was thinking about getting a full exhuast system, a turbo, programming my ECU, and some low resistant spark plug wires. I was also wondering if i could just take a turbo from an SRT-4 and put it on my car or would that not work? if someone could get back to me i'd greatly appreciate it, thanks.
