Default What is that hole for on the bottom of the Are rest

I have a 2000 Durangoand i noticed a compartment like hole on the inside of the arm rest(bottom of the lid). What is that for, does something go in it?

Anything you can stuff in there but it was intended for a small packet of facial tissues.

the only thing ive ever found useful to put in there is my wallet on long drives, also directions. (that waythe gf isn'tholding them and telling me im going the wrong way the whole time)they wedge in there quite nicely, plus the compartment itself is already full of crap I don't need or ever use.
