No, it seems to be a big porn spam. Everyone I've had contact with on DF in the last few hours has received it, even the mods. Patrick, Amanda and Ralph will correct it ASAP.......

I got the same email from deananderson at 3:34 this morning. I also have spent the last hour deleting his posts.

I got hit too, from amyh. Does admin have access to the inbox area? I'm trying to paste it here but can't. I'll forward to whomever will deal with it.

I got the same PM from deananderson. highly inappropriate, but I have faith the admins will handle things in good fashion.

To the admin:

If the spammer has a static IP, I would be all for going into the .htaccess file, and right below the part that says 'Allow/deny whatever' add the following:

Deny from xx.xxx.xx.xxx

The x's being the spammer's IP address.

That, or perhaps the forum software allows you to filter certain stuff, in which case you filter by a very specific (and repetitive / constant) piece of the spam.

Don't put up with this crap on your place, either ban or filter these folks who obviously have mental problems.

I also noticed that the whole message, body and all was forwarded to my regular webmail account. I was not aware that this would happen when a PM arrived for me at Dodge Fourm. I thought the system would simply send a "you have a PM at Dodge Forum" message, and require me to log in to retrieve the PM. Not forward the whole message!
If this is the case, I may need to turn that feature off.

As I stated before, I thought the function was to "Email a notification" not "Forward the PM".
I would prefer it to work as advertised, as it is handy.
On the flip side of the coin, I went and saw I had a check mark in "allow other members to email me" which is unusual for how I configure my accounts, but may explain how it got through. I deleted the message, so I have no way of going back and looking at the header to see. I recall it started with "you have a PM from ADMIN", so I assumed it came from the "notification" option.

Yea the PM porn just happened to me the ScreenName of the person who did it to me was "aliceblue".


The real reason I'm in here is I would like an admin to put a introduction/pic sticky specifically in the 2nd gen neon section. TONS of people post in there and it would be nice to get to know everone by their name and car rather than their screen name. Also It would be nice to actually see people and their cars rather than having to PM people and go to cardomain just to see some pics of peoples cars.

I would really appreciate this and hope that an admin puts this in. THANKS!!!
