I thought I would chime in.  I got 30K miles from the factory brakes on my Daytona.  During that time, they were heavily abused, and they performed admirably.  My only complaint is the brake dust.  There definitely special performance brake pads specific to the Daytona, according to the dealer.

Currently I am waiting for my drilled rotors to arrive, and I have some ceramic pads waiting to be installed.  I know drilled rotors = trouble, but they are not that expensive.  What I really want is some new brake rotors from Disk Brakes Australia or DBA.  The have a newly released drilled and slotted, witha unique internal structure that from an engineering point of view appears to be unbeatable.  Unfortunately no has them yet, so I will probably install them in 6 months when they arrive here.

take a look...

I would get the:

DBA 42438XS

4000 Series XS (premium cross-drilled & slotted)
Vented
Front

What makes them better? "Kangaroo paw", don't laugh...  from a strictly engineering point of view it is brilliant, less warping, better heat shedding.  Here is a video:

Check out the difference it made on a EVO on their website.

Heck, if enough people want in, I will order case of them and deliver them at cost!  Maybe we could get a dealers cost deal...

<2 cents>

Here is what was delivered.  I was shocked how cool they were.  If these work half as good as they look, I am lovin life!  Already have the ceramic pads to go with them.  Looks like I am ordering the rear ones to match!
They are the best that I could find for the 5.7 R/T Daytona.  Should be a stock rotor replacement.  The rotors are directional, with a different "vane" design for left and right sides.
Disk Italia brand.  The pictures do not do them justice!

Any comment?

I also had squeaky brakes; took car in to dealership on numerous occassions and of course, they found nothing. Finally got fed up and had my brake pads replaced with ceramic pads and viola! the squeak is gone! On a side note...my rotors are crap and that is next to be replaced. Seems that dodge uses crappy rotors on their vehicles. As a matter of fact, my rotors can't even be turned, that's how bad they are.

On a good note...just had my AFE Stage II CAI installed and WOW!!! what a difference.

Hi IXLR8... I haven't had any issues with my brakes yet at 10,000 but I am only waiting for my first brake job to upgrade to slotted and some Red Stuff pads and I've been looking around to find some high quality ones for when the time comes. May I ask who you bought them through and what they ended up running you? Thanks -Rob

I got them from Brakeworld.com, somewhere around $250.  there are two different front rotors, the left and right hand sides are different and unidirectional.  It has to do with the internal vane design, to better cool the brakes.  The online picture does not do it justice.  I get BIG compliments from everyone who see's them.  The really are jaw dropping kewl.  I went with the Hawk ceramic pads, although I considered the Red's.

I was not going to replace the rears, but these look so damn good, I cannot help myself....
