I thought I would chime in. I got 30K miles from the factory brakes on my Daytona. During that time, they were heavily abused, and they performed admirably. My only complaint is the brake dust. There definitely special performance brake pads specific to the Daytona, according to the dealer. Currently I am waiting for my drilled rotors to arrive, and I have some ceramic pads waiting to be installed. I know drilled rotors = trouble, but they are not that expensive. What I really want is some new brake rotors from Disk Brakes Australia or DBA. The have a newly released drilled and slotted, witha unique internal structure that from an engineering point of view appears to be unbeatable. Unfortunately no has them yet, so I will probably install them in 6 months when they arrive here. take a look... http://www.dba.com.au/2006/new_products/DODGE_CHARGER.asp I would get the: DBA 42438XS 4000 Series XS (premium cross-drilled & slotted) Vented Front What makes them better? "Kangaroo paw", don't laugh... from a strictly engineering point of view it is brilliant, less warping, better heat shedding. Here is a video: http://www.dba.com.au/2006/videoclip.asp Check out the difference it made on a EVO on their website. Heck, if enough people want in, I will order case of them and deliver them at cost! Maybe we could get a dealers cost deal... <2 cents>
