Ferrari, Koenigsegg, Bugatti, and Lamborghini are a few Super Cars, the Viper is a simplistic Race/Muscle car that’s a Jack of all trades, master of a few, and one of the most unique feeling and fun race cars in history. As usual your posts are not something that relates to anything in reality in most ways. As scene with many of your ridiculously ignorant and bias comments amongst most of your uniformed speculations in which you base on hope, and jealousy of many cars you will never own. That Must Suck… Wasn’t it you who thinks 911 was America’s doing? If not sorry. My bad, but it matches most of the things you say. You and “wonder land” will never be far apart. You must have bile pouring out of every facial orphus you have with all the bullshit your filled with. I think I might even feel sorry for you, I hope you can get a girl friend or another hobby soon to make up for all the negativity in your both your lives. Like I said, get help. Oh yea, and remember the time you compared FWD Chevys to LX platforms? HA, what an idiot. Please say something else I can add to the list of great ones

There were some comments of lets slap a cheaper V8 in the car and created a toned down version like a Vette. May I ask why someone would say this? One of the biggest appeals to the car is the fact you do not see one everyday, they are rare. If DC were to mass produce the car (20-30-40K units) per year the Viper would not be, well a Viper. It would be more like a Mustang and Vette. This is why DC thought about the Firepower and will be putting out the Challenger that will probably be offered with a 6.1, maybe more. I would not own my Viper if it were a car you could see everyday like a Vette. Trust me the appeal to the car is the fact you just do not see them often. I can understand your frustration over DC's lack of a middle of the line V8 sports car, like the Mustang, the late Camaro or even a Vette. I agree most will not settle for a family sedan 4 door 6.1 SRT, I would be one of them. But to take this frustration and want a massed produced Viper is absurd.

ORIGINAL: Johndcjr1989 yeah it would have been awesome but if you want a car with the 6.1 theres the charger, 300, and magnum, and if you dont want a 4 door, the challenger is coming soon, and rumor has it that it should run 13 flat in the quarter mile. its a shame they made it so damn heavy though. if they made it as light as the mustang, then it should run mid to low 12s stock. thats dodges problem is all their cars are so heavy. if they put the viper on a diet it would be beating the vettes, even the z06s easily. Exactly. The Challenger is boxy and heavy and only has 425 hp... I'm talking about a sleak coupe, that is light and has around 500 hp.

It's one of the things I most love about it. It's just a suggestion. Give me a Firepower. Give me a mini Viper, change the looks and call it something else. ANYTHING... I was hoping for the Firepower. The fat, overweight, boxy, over-retro Challenger doesn't count. I want a sleek, light weight, V8 coupe that I can afford. Hell, atleast give me a V6 coupe with decent power. But we have neither. I'm sorry I don't have 90k to drop on a 600hp car.

I want something that isn't the size of a sardine can. Something like the size of the Stratus coupe, with the power of the Crossfire. Not to mention, the Crossfire is way overpriced and has many problems. It will also cease to exist soon...

In my opinion you may as well throw out the over priced excuse for not liking a car. Any V8 or even V6 that is good looking with power and handling is going to be to over priced. The Vette took a very big leap with the C6. Even a Mustang GT with the nice options is 30K. The Camaro with the V8 and Challenger SRT-8 will be mid 30s at the least, may even push 40K for a fully loaded model. Your only option is going to be a supercharged 4 cylinder to get a "resonable price". The day of the V8 sports car for under 30K is over. The used market does open some very nice possibilties though. Everytime I start looking in a autotrader or on the net I get crazy ideas! Old muscle can be VERY FUN!

A brand new 330 hp Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 is $46,000. Only 4,000-6,000 cheaper the SRT-10 Ram. Tell me that isn't over priced! Mustang GT w/ options = 30k Crossfire SRT-6 = 46k Crossfire = over priced Mercedes in Chrysler clothes

The Crossfire is a waste of money and it's a crappy car....for the 46k price tag of the only model worth a spit...you can buy a brand new LS2 powered Corvette.... I understand what 94rt10ohio is getting at though....the days of cheap high HP cars have come and gone.....but the bottom line is that Dodge/Chrysler are skipping out on a decent powered coupe...you have to go all the way back to the 80's to find a time when Dodge actually built a coupe worth a crap.....and no, the Stealth doesnt count because it was a rebadged Mitsu....
