Wuz up ya'll,

My brother has a 00 mustang cobra w/ flowmaster exhaust. When he drives at normal speeds the "drone" comes in. I have heard that the JBA exhaust system has a lot of drone on the charger, so my question is what are the best systems to really HEAR it when you step on it, but chill when your cruising?

My next question is what does a throttle body spacer do for your car.
Thanks for the help guys!

Check out Corsa at this link. Their exhaust can tame anything but when you get on it they have a great sound.

A TBS is designed to increase speed and volume of the air through the intake, it can also atomize the fuel more efficiently increasing HP and MPG. Read this thread post #4 on TBSs.

i love my magnaflow the drone is lite and at idel the exhaust is perfect and you get on it and sounds nice. go to magnaflow.com and check the sound out. the price of this system is not bad compared to some others. $450.00 to $650.00 on ebay. i got mine for $550.00 with the shipping. some people say the throttle body spacer doesnt do anything but for only $100 it cant hurt and its another aftermarket part. i have the airaid and it makes a cool whistling noise like a baby super charger!

Does your brother really have a 00' cobra cause that means its a Cobra R 1 of 300 made which run 12's? Or is it a 99, 01, 03-04?

I will call him but I know its a cobra and it is the body style before the current style. So I guess it is any where from a 98 to to an 04. He is a big car guy not me. I also know he payed about $28,000 for it used.

If you can post up a pic, that should help identify what it is.

My GF test drove a 01 (I think that was the year) it was supercharged and drove w/an attitude. 400+ HP was too much HP for my GF.

The cobra's were not supercharged untill 03. If he paid 28k for it used if I had to guess it was a 03-04 cobra with pretty low miles. Which only needs a intake, exhaust, slicks and they will run mid 12's all day long.

Cool thanks for the info.  I would have loved to test drive that car, I bet it would have been a rush.

Add a bigger supercharger pully to that list and hang on!

For who wanted to know my brother has an 04 Cobra and it had 17 thousand miles on it in excellent condition.  Sorry for answering so late but I was in Houston on leave and we actually drove it around alot.  He also averages in the low 12's.  He also likes hearing his engine as much as possible.  He says that he gets about 497 "at the wheels".

New question, Magno, RT2, Baldy and anybody with exhaust experience, if you had your choice would you get Magnoflow or Borla?  I might not be able to pass up the price of Magnaflow on Ebay, But is Borla really worth the price and why?  Keep in mind I don't want alot of drone when doing simple driving.  Also Borla has two different packages 1 that sounds aggressive as the website put it does anybody know the actual difference.  Thanks alot guys.
