i dont know alot about the borla. so im going to tell you i love my magnaflow. fit and finish is perfect. price was great. its not a very load exhaust but thats what i wanted. if you want it loader you could just put straight pipes in where the res. goes. very happy with mine no complants at all. borla makes a great product but you might be paying more for that name!? i saved almost $300 on mine over the borla i think its well weirth the savings! good luck.

New question, Magno, RT2, Baldy and anybody with exhaust experience, if you had your choice would you get Magnoflow or Borla?  I might not be able to pass up the price of Magnaflow on Ebay, But is Borla really worth the price and why?  Keep in mind I don't want alot of drone when doing simple driving.  Also Borla has two different packages 1 that sounds aggressive as the website put it does anybody know the actual difference.  Thanks alot guys.

At one time I had the Borla 125's on.  Car sounded bad ass on the outside and just plain bad on the inside.  Drone was so bad it gave me headaches.  And the left tail pipe would move down and aft when hot, making it look like a 12 year old put it on.  Got rid of it and installed the Magnaflows.

Cool thanks for the info.  I would have loved to test drive that car, I bet it would have been a rush.

Add a bigger supercharger pully to that list and hang on!

Hell yeah its crazy for the 03-04 cobra's. You can litterally spend like $1200 and get around to around 425-440HP. And 500HP comes pretty easy with porting of the blower but after 525HP the stock blower is pretty much at its limits.

Hi performance buds,
My name is Jeff and I'm an old school Mopar freak. I grew up when Mopar had real, raw horsepower, nothing like todays choked up magnum and hemis. I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 with the 3.7 litre magnum, this engine is just begging to scream, if I could find the right performance parts-race cam, performance heads, headers, high output distributor, high output crank, there is no doubt this 3.7 could crank out 400 plus horse power and massive tork with a tork converter. However I have searched hundreds of high performance web sites without success. Not even Dodge Performance offers and high performance parts for the 3.7, what a shame.

I haven't personally experienced either Magnaflow or Borla.  Borla had two different falvors of exausts for the 5.7, I forget the numbers but be sure to look into both. earthchain mentioned the 125 but there is another version.

A lot of folks are running Magnaflow or Borla and are happy w/them.  That's where the personal preference sets in.

Good luck with the exhaust!

It happens all the time -- exhaust is a personal preference.

However, I have been very happy with my Corsa set-up.  Top notch stuff; very light; little to no drone; comfortable decibles with normal driving; but...

...she'll sounds like one bad motor scooter when you are getting dirty.

So, while not the most popular (primarily, I think, due to its cost), Corsa gets my vote.

Anybody ever try Basani?

Happy New Year

I'm also running Corsa and love them. They are tame while driving around normally but when you stomp on the gas it does have that "sounds like one bad motor scooter"

Hey wuz up guys I finally made my decision on the exhaust.  Im going with magnaflow and I got an awesome deal 550 bucks shipping included.  I also ordered a superchips tuner and a 180 stat.  I also installed a Airaid TBS last week (for the sound).  But now I am looking into headers.  On the Kookers website I see that you can purchase just the headers.  My new question is do I need to buy the whole kit or can I just buy and install the headers for strong performance?  If any body wants to help the website is www.kookscustomerheaders.com and just put in the r/t options.

Kevin:

Good call on the Magnaflow -- I didn't want the suitcase and you shouldn't either.  I'm very happy with the aftermarket exhaust.

Kooks makes some sweet parts....  Good luck.
