After 11 months of aggravating every Dodge employee that would listen, about the sorry quality of the GPS information in the unit that came in the car, I win! I was ping ponged from dealer to Chrysler several times, but the final showdown occurred in the service managers office. My view was that Dodge owed me this upgrade, and the service manager informed me that it was $199.00. He said he owed me nothing, why did he owe me anything? My blood pressure peaked, and my temper went thermonuclear. I asked him if he was looking for me to grovel or beg for the disk, or whether he was waiting for a bl@w j@b! Yep, he said conversation over, get out of my office, I am getting your car out of service for you, and please leave now.
Then he walked over and handed me a new AE revision DVD. I was floored...
Moral of the story, I guess you have to offer the service manager a bl@w j@b in order to get the free upgrade...

By the way, I backed up the DVD using Alcohol 120% software to DL-DVD+R blank, and it works great.

How do you tell what version you have and when you chould update it?

It is actually printed on my disk. The previous version was AC. It went through a lengthy process to update the firmware when it was initially installed.
The only beef so far is that sometimes it tells you to turn the wrong way, proceed to the next turnaround and u-turn to go the proper direction. Ooooops.
