what the crap - 12/8/2003 2:21:54 AM    5.9rm   Posts: 94 Joined: 11/17/2003 Status: offline so i have this little problem with my truck. the speedo still isnt working and the check engine light is still on.  i ran another obd-II diag. test on it and it said that the speed sensor is malfuntioning. heres the catch, i replaced the speed sensor about 3 weeks ago when i first ran the diag. test on it.  could there be something wrong with the connection to my speed sensor? if so, how would i go about checking this.  i have to get my truck smogged before the end of the month, and it wont pass if the check engine light is still on.  please help me! this is getting really frustrating! aaron  Post #: 1

what the crap - 12/9/2003 2:05:46 AM    5.9rm   Posts: 94 Joined: 11/17/2003 Status: offline ok....so im dumb.  when i replaced the speed sensor, i replaced the one on the tranny. not thinking to ckeck the one on the rear axle. it would make a lot more sense to replace that one though because my brake/abs lights are on.  man am i slow.  oh well....hopefully tomorrow all my troubles will be over! It is usually the sensor, but sometimes it's ,as said above, a bad or dirty connection or a wiring problem to or from the sensor. (in reply to 5.9rm) Post #: 4

what the crap - 12/10/2003 1:23:05 AM    5.9rm   Posts: 94 Joined: 11/17/2003 Status: offline thanks for the help.  i tried cleaning out the plug with some compressed air, but that didnt do it.  its no biggie though, i talked to the service rep. at my local dealer and he said the part is only $35 and super easy to install. looks like ive got somewhat of a project for my day off work tomorrow.
