Up at the top of any thread you want to track click on "Subscribe" riht next to "Printable Version" and above the Page Number.

After you subscribe to a thread(s) you can view your subscriptions by clicking on "My Profile" up at the top. Now your looking at your "My Profile" screen and at the top of it is another link "My Subscriptions". Click on "My Subscriptions" and that will list what your subscribed to as a link.

I still want to know where that jack point is that karleysDAD used to jack the engine up.

I did shortys and it took about 7 1/2 hours. We had to jack up the motor to get to the upper bolts on the driver side. I think we could do it in about 3 hours now that i know the tricks. I made the mistake of using the bolts that came with my headers, and they were not header bolts so the clearence for the sockets was the biggest issue. I think if you use header bolts it wont be that big of a deal.

What jack points did you use to jack up the motor?

I guess I'm just slow... after I installed my LT headers I helped a friend put ST header on their 5.7 Magie. It took 6 hours to put the headers with high flow cats on (we used Breslin header bolts).

You can jack it on the pan just have a board between the Jack and the pan.

Oh man, no $hit. I thought about jacking it up a few times (for the header and valve spring install) but didn't have the balls to jack up the pan, I thought I would end up with a jacked-up-pan. Next opportunity I'll give that a try.

I've had the pan off mine and know a little about it's structure.  I wouldn't make a engine stand out of it but I'll try jacking the engine up w/it.

Thanks for sharing that information!

This reminds me of threads about jacking up the rear end by the pumpkin  I do that all the time.

Yes the Dynatech LTs came with O2 extensions.  If you get LTs they should come with them, the STs don't need them since they bolt up to the stock Cat/Midpipes.

The headers/Cats did increase the tone. It wasn't drastic but I could tell a difference.

That was also in the middle of my exhaust lesson... I had chopped the reso/muff in the rear and put blastin bob's 11db tailpipes on before the headers. After headers I replaced the suitcase with a DynoMax Ultra Flow X muffler trying to get rid of the drone. You know what I ended up with.

Yes they are Jet coated.

I heard Breslin was going out of business, what a shame they had a good product.

Folks are now going w/Stage 8 Bolts. Not confirmed but the  Part # 8916(17) their size is: 8mm 1.25(thread) x 25mm. Check-em out www.stage8.com
