In celebration of the Ram being built in Mexico, I'll take a grande, extra hot sauce.

thanks!

Just to correct this, some rams are built in mexico, some 2500, 3500, and the srt-10 are built in mexico. Most are built in warrn mich(1500 quad), or st louis mo(2500 and 1500 reg and quad). The hemi engine is built in mexico, which I think is a disgrace, but that is a whole other topic.

Whats more of a disgrace is that so called American truck owners insist on beating up on so called foreign trucks, when the "foreign" truck is just as American built product as the (fill in blank with Dodge, Ford, Chevy....)

Its a World economy nowadays people. There really isn't a true "American" company or "Foreign" company anymore- yeah, they may have their headquaters here, but you can guaran-damn-tee that some of Dodge -or Ford or Chevy's profits go all over the World, just like Nissans.

oh, and just so you don't think I am a Dodge hater, I am not. I drove a Hemi 2wd with the 20" wheels, etc. and it was real nice. I loved it, in fact. I think the interiors are a bit nicer, and that truck was gorgeous in the gun metal grey color. I also love the retro look of some of the Dodges with the Hemi orange and the decals and stuff. Retro is cool.

It probably would have ended up in my driveway if the Dodge dealer didn't try to hose me for $150/mo more than the Nissan dealer did. Both trucks were about 500 apart, and the Dodge dealer (with a Dodge trade in, no less) tried to tell me my payments for the Dodge were going to be $600!!! I took my Dodge (a POS Car I got willed to me....LOL) to the Nissan dealer, and they got my payment right were I wanted it ($450) in under an hour.

Dodge lost my sale because the dealer was soooooooooooo slimy. If he had not been that way, I'd probably be full time on this board!

Who is the so called american truck owner, both of my rams were built here, and most of their parts as well. So you found a slime ball dealer, big deal welcome to the real world. Not everyone is honest so you judge an entire company by one dealer? A little rash don't you think?

I would have to take exception to your statement...most people buy their vehicles based on styling and the engineering that goes into the vehicle, not where they are put together. Jap cars being built in the USA, SRT-4 engines being built in Mexico....who really cares? I'm more concerned with how well "thought out" the car/truck is and that's where AMERICAN "know how" from AMERICAN based companies shines through.....

You're right about the global economy thing....it's going to become more common as time goes by....

Who really cares? I bet my local law enforcement would care if I and the other 4000 people at warren truck lost our jobs and not be able to pay our taxes. Also just ask the other cities with major plants in them if they could survive without the revenue the big three provide. Between gm and dcx their taxes alone make up over 60 percent of the city of warrens tax base. Just a side note warren is the third largest city in the state of mich. I just picked on my law enforcer friends to make a point to you dusty! Not picking on you at all!
The problem is dusty you are right no one cares where things are made till its their job going away, then its too late.

I would venture to say ALL of the truck builders have know how- if not, they would not be in business. I would say my Titan is just as thought out as any other truck, it depends on your definition of thought out is. Some like the looks of the Titan (I do) some don't. I like the looks of the Rams too- I bought a '96 right when they came out and thought it was a wonderful truck until the transmission fell out and sat on the dealers lot for 2 months before Dodge would even admit there was an issue.....(duh.....like losing your tranny at 65mph TWO days after buying it ISN"T an issue.........) I like the looks of the newer Rams even more.......but Nissan has always had a great reputation for being reliable, my family has had various models and some have 250K on them and are still going strong. When was the last time you saw a non diesel Chevy-Ford-Dodge with that kind of mileage and still in great shape???

So I'm not quite following, you buy a titan then join a dodge forum? Is this a case of buyers remorse? Just wondering I mean I've never even thought about going to a ricer forum, because I don't own one. But it is nice to see you tone down the language though.
