I personally don't care where it was actually built, but where the badging of the mother company is located. :) ~Amanda

I bet Nissan employs enough people (and spends enough $$$$$$$) in the US thru their factories and dealerships to substancially impact the economy in the US. Imagine how many people would be out of a job if Nissan or any foreign maker pulled out of the US market. It would be simply tragic.

Investors are world wide. Once again, its a GLOBAL economy nowadays. You just can't avoid it.

I'm not worried about the bottomline or who invested in what... I'm concerned about heritage and history, looks and brands... don't get me wrong, I'm against anything that's not a Dodge or relation of... Ford and Chevy included... but that's me... I'm a loyal brand lover... doesn't mean I think it's smart if the foreign companies pulled out of the USA... but it doesn't matter to me one way or another because I'll always buy Dodge. :) ~Amanda

I've been driving Dodge my whole life, Shadow, Stratus, Dakota, Ram, Hemi Ram, so i'm quite the loyal Dodge customer. Having said that, the Titan is a cool truck, it had to be to compete with the HEMI sitting in my driveway. Now Dodge has someone other than usual "rely on what's worked" companies like Ford and Chevy to compete with, am I wrong in thinking that's great news for Dodge owners? Oh wait, I was supposed to flame somebody wasn't I?

ORIGINAL: mopartodd Who cares about the economy MONTY. Let's talk about that ugly, slow, over-rated, plastic POS truck of yours. Oh yeah, forgot the smiley. See, this is the typical ignorant comment I knew I would expect venturing in here. I think its safe to say you know my truck isn't slow. Ugly, well, thats a matter of taste. Believe it or not, Skippy, people find the Dodge just as ugly (Not me, though) Over Rated? Why??? Because its not a "Big 3" truck and its the BEST competiton Dodge has had in awhile?? Ummmm......the Dodge has just as much plastic as mine, buttercup. Why are you sooooooooooooo defensive, Todd?? Kinda like Penis envy, maybe????

OK, now I can gloat a little, thanks to a link I found from the full size truck shootout on edmunds. I guess my Titan isn't so slow. This one is for Todd-- Here is why the Titan won Full Size PU of the year "To see how the Titan pulled off the win, look no further than its performance at the test track. Truck owners love to talk numbers and the Titan turned in top results in nearly every category. Its 0-to-60-mph time of 7.7 seconds was a full half second ahead of the second-place Dodge, and when it was loaded down with a 6,000-pound trailer and three passengers, it extended its lead over the Ram to nearly three seconds (16.8 vs. 19.5). Test notes revealed that the Titan got off the line faster than every other truck in the test, unloaded or not, and maintained a strong, virtually uninterrupted pull thanks to seamless shifts from its five-speed gearbox." You can call it whatever you want, thats fact from edmunds posted by one of your members.

You found this forum, we didn't look for you. As far as being ignorant, you came in here and in your first post insulted one of the members. Trust me junior, that is considered extremely ignorant anywhere. I'm amazed your intellegent enough to recognize that you have been insulted. Listen miny man, funny how you brought that (penis envy) up isn't it. Because you have penis issues, whatever they may actually be, doesn't mean everyone else does. You should really learn what and who that term actually applies to. Yes, I'm extremely defensive of things I care about. If your not, or can't understand that, you must be a wussy.

Hey guys I think that we are forgetting what makes america so great, what about freedom of choice . If he wants to use his hard earned money on a Titan so what. It is his money he is wasting. I don't like them but that doesnt mean that he cant. comeing onto Dodge forum to talk about how great his truck is ignorant but he is free to do that as well. I mean it is a free country isn' it?

Look just as a fyi and so you don't look like an ass on other message boards (assuming you haven't already) I will explain this as a courtesy. Not only for you but everyone else that love to magazine race and quote from paper sources. 1. When any vehicle is rated they just don't look at the engine and performance specs (surprise!) 2. Other factors that are weighed in: a. cosmetic appearance (yeah like thats gonna matter when I'm racing your dumbass down the 1320!) b. initial cost and optional upgrades (again, does this really matter when we get down and dirty?) c. road noise (no explanation needed) d. seriously, I can go on and on and on and on and on.... 3. With everything considered, everything is given a point value and ultimately thats how everything is tallied. Even when it came down to performance the titan edged out the ram by 2/10's of a second. Just 2/10's! But did you know this was done w/ the dodge factory 20inch rims. Do you even have a remote idea how much of an impact that has??? I would love to see a hemi and titan pair up, apples to apples and watch the titan get its ass handed to it! Do you even understand what I'm getting at? Do you realize that your precious titan may have won first place because it may have scored higher for a prettier cabin? See so when you start spouting off about how [insert your favorite magazine here] scored the titan or ANY vehicle better it means absolutely jack shit to me. HAve a nice day precious.
