2000 Dodge Intrepid Wont START!!!! HELP - 11/28/2006 11:35:30 AM    kman214   Posts: 2 Joined: 11/28/2006 Status: offline After leaving to make a quick run to the store the battery light came on and stayed on. Got to the store and turned car off. Came out and car started no problem and the battery light was not on so everything looked ok. Well once back on road the battery light came back on and stayed on. Got home and turned the car off. Well the car has not started since. Checked battery, changed spark plugs/has spark and still won't start. Any idea's on what else I can try? Has anyone see this type of problem? Post #: 1

Will the engine crank, but not turn over? Or does it not crank? How did you check the battery? Did you do a load test, or voltage ck only? As for the bat light, it was letting you know there was a problem (either the bat, the alt, the voltage reg, ect). (in reply to kman214) Post #: 2

I would make sure the fuel pump is working. Check the fuse for the fuel pump - or relay. Also you should be able to hear the fuel pump starting - turn the ignition key on, but don't cranck the engine - you have to hear the humming noise from the fuel tank.
