I don't think I have seen this posted anywhere before but it's the coolest feature I have found on the 2007 Charger R/T with EVIC display. After entering the diagnostic mode by pushing the N-Compass and Music Note buttons on the steering wheel, the diagnostics will appear in the EVIC display area. Scroll through the menus by pushing the arrow up button. There is a screen that will allow you to check the 0-60 time of the car. When in this screen and you "stop", a START display will show up. As soon as you accelerate, the times will begin and at 60MPH the time will lock on the screen! If it is the best time, it will lock it in as BEST TIME! This is much more accurate than the stop watch/speedometer method.. By the way, mine is stock except for a Fram Road Hog drop in filter and ESP disable. I am running mid-grad gas at an altitude of around 650 feet (Columbus, Ohio). BEST TIME: 0-60 mph 5.4 SECONDS! This was with ESP left on. Times without it were slower. Anywhere from 5.48 - 5.68 seconds. ESP disable actually INCREASED the 0-60 times. Maybe it would have made a difference on a road with better traction.

Turn signal Mod allows left and right side Amber lights outboard of headlights to flash with amber lights inboard of headlights. Factory outer lights do not flash. This makes the visibility to other drivers much better when changing lanes or turning. Simple operation takes about 30 minutes to do.

can the dealership update my software?  I have 9/12/05 version 4.07, which seems to lack that particular feature.

Neat trick though !

Nice feature.  Not sure if the 06 versions have it, maybe I can get my software updated.

You mention a Jet Chip Stage 1 or 2 coming soon.  Have you looked into the Flashpaq Super Chip?  It's actually a tuner that you plug into the car and you can tune it the way you want it within the parameters of the hand-held tuner.  It gives you much more flexibility than the Jet Chip alone.  I had the Jet Chip, then got the tuner.  I ran both together for a time, but ended up taking the Jet Chip out.

Also, nice to hear from someone on Columbus.  My oldest son lives there.  I was there this past June - he got married - and saw a couple of really nice looking Chargers around town.

so is it possible to upgrade the software in the 06? Or are we stuck with that version...... It would be nice to have that feature. Has anyone done this yet?

If someone knows about this in the '06 models please let me know!  I wanna check this out too.  I'm at work right now, but when I get off, you can bet that will be the first thing I check...and if it doesn't work, can we "update" or some how get that feature?  Curious!

Well I couldn't wait any more.  I went to my car and tried it out and sure enough I was taken to a different screen.  I had to hold down both buttons for about 3-5 secs and it went.  There are several screens and one was a digital speedometer, and a digital RPM gauge.  Kinda cool.  I just didn't see the "best" time area.  Of course I was parked in the parking lot...remember I'm at work and all.  Can't wait to get out on the road and check these new gagits out.  I love gagits.

Thanks for the great info moabutman

Hello,
My co worker has a 2006 300C and told me about the option a few months back. This setting also has many other diagnostic information as well
