looking around on the net i came across this pic and just wanted to say this is what i want my dakota to look like. a concept at the 04 auto show this is one bada$$ dakota
THey won't make it cuz it looks cool and it would probably sell. All the cool stuff never makes it to production the way people like it which stinks cuz that is a sweet looking rig.
Doesn't really look all that diff from our truck....Diff front bumper cover (that would be a nice change from the fat lip we've got)....And amkt wheels/tires....And a front skid plate...Maybe it sits a little higher than ours....Other than (just) that its close to the same truck from what I can see.

RE: why wont theymake this
In theory, companies throw out concept vehicles like that and then gauge the public's response along with projected costs for retooling the factories, getting suppliers/materials cost, retraining the labor force, EPA compliance, advertising, road testing, etc, etc.
If the numbers are right, they generally go forward. If not, it becomes a museum piece.

I hope dodge brings that truck to the Los Angeles Auto Show this coming year, if they do, I am definitely going. I've seen this truck befor eon the internet and have a couple of backgrounds of it for my laptop. It looks like there's a lift on it, and I like those rims! I feel like going to dodge and asking them what rims they put on the truck and if I can actually buy any of those parts....it's always worth a try to go and see what they'll do if offered a purchase
