My friend recently wrecked his 2000 Dodge Dakota and in the process completely ripped off the front driver's side wheel, axle and all. It also damaged the front driver's fender and door. Upon inspection, it SEEMS that the cab is okay. If not, I'll have to concern myself with that later. I'm trying to help him fix it, but I know nothing about Dodge vehicles.

Could any of you do any or all of the following for me?

For a 2000 Dodge Dakota, 2wd, 6 cyl, 4spd manual pickup. (The body is white)

A) Tell me what all of the components are required to hold the front driver's wheel on so that I can get the truck mobile again. (i.e. I don't know what to call the parts so that I can tell junk yards what I need)

B) Tell me a good place to find this axle assembly, front driver's fender, and driver's door...either a junk yard..or maybe your back yard. I'm willing to drive a few hours to get the parts if I need to.


I'm available pretty much all weekend, so for a fair price, I'd be willing to drive to pick the parts up.

Oh..and one more thing. I have no idea what year model parts will fit this truck. Could someone please let me know that as well?

I'll need the models from which I can use a door, fender, and axle...stuff.

for the front end you will most likely need upper/lower controll arms, steering knuckle, spring, shock, brake rotor, caliper, sway bar sway bar end links, tie rod, maybe the rack, thats basically the major of what your going to need but iknow you will need nuts bolts and misc parts that would make this post huge. I think your best bet would go to a junk yard and ask for a front clip for a 2wd 97 to 2000 dakota all the parts should be the same but i could be wrong. some f the body parts off 01 to 04 should be the same too
