just wondering how much the cam was ..installed and does it lope like an old muscle car or is it smooth idle???...and did you feel a huge difference i read an article that said ..it gives 61 more hp ...
i think the cam cost $379. i installed it myself. the cam has a very noticable lope. there was some small gains, maybe 20Hp from the cam. you'll never get those 61Hp gains from a cam only change because of the computers we have in our cars.
the 61Hp hotrod gained from a cam change was because it was a motor only using a FAST computer for tuning.
the KRC cam will be comming out in a few weeks in favor of a new experimental one along with some hand ported high compression heads and a new PCM for the tune.

The KRC cams are around 350 + shipping now but going up to 390 soon. I installed a 212 cam so the install cost a bit of sweat, bruised knuckles and cuss words.
I have a slight lope at startup when it’s cold and idling around 550, it bumps up to 650 every now and then. Once warm the idle is very smooth. I haven’t dyno’ed but by the seat of the pants my gain was around 10-15 HP. The 212 is MDS friendly.
You can probably get 60 HP if you change out to ported heads and a more aggressive non MDS cam.
I have a PDF on the install if you’re interested.
i have a poor idle when cold and a very noticable lope when warmed up. i can't just start up the car, wait 30 seconds and put it in gear and drive. it will die for sure. i have to drive with two feet until it warms up. i had a much better cold start in the summer with this cam.

that's how it acts without it. the PSC1 helps the idle by pulling out fuel. i still need the idle raised to feel safe in traffic. that is where B&G comes in.
all of this will soon change as i am working on a complete new combination.
