Default Dak 46RH

I am using a Dak frame for my streetrod. I want to use a 5.2 and 46RH but have heard the 46RH's are not very durable. Will any other or better trans interchange with minimal mods. Or will a rebuild be necessary?
FYI, I am using the Dak wiring harness to keep cost down and everything plugs up right

Default RE: Dak 46RH

You must be talking about the 46re trans. They are good trans if you take care of them. If you get a used one then you may want to open it up or have it checked out. A freshly rebuilt trans is always better. Im putting a 5.9 RT motor and 46re trans in my 96 at some point. Got the trans already built just waiting on money to finish the motor. Using a factory harness is the best idea. Thats another thing i need to get also.
