'94 Intrepid Electrical Question - 11/5/2006 11:59:56 AM    rickrid   Posts: 1 Joined: 11/5/2006 Status: offline Has anyone had their interior lights remain on, but the dash lights and instruments not work? Replaced the alternator last year. Is this possibly a fuse issue? Post #: 1

Being that both the lighting issues you are having pass through/are controled by the switch, that's where I'd start. (in reply to jaswasup) Post #: 3

If you leave the lights on and turn off the engine, the lights will remain on for about 1 min. If after that they do not turn off on their own, I would look at the relay. Do they cycle off after you turn the light switch to off AND then cycle the key to the run and them off? If so, they are working normal...only need to verify if they will turn off after a min or so on their own. This is a comon feature nowadays so as you exit the car, you have light and then it turns off on it's own. (in reply to no_name) Post #: 5
