i have been thinking of an idea to make two upper intake manifolds both with there own throttle bodies. and some how combine the one throttle cable to make two evenly. then i was thinking i would only have to have one throttle body with sensors. because all they do is pretty much have a position sensor and i think one or two more. but what do you think? one four inch square intake plenum for each with a 52 mm throttle body on each. just think, stock single 46mm, my custom design 104mm/two 52mm tb's. then maybe throw in a set of injectors out of a 3000gt and a fuel pressure regulator. and i already have a really high flow exhaust. GOOD THOUGHT?????????

That doesn't mean they know what you are talking about, or have the knowledge to reply. Responses usually take a day, sometimes more.


Take a look at 1990-1996 Nissan 300zx's they have the twin throttle bodies, you could probably use some of their parts if you can find them.
Unless you have twin turbos (or even one) 2 tbs will be more than what is needed on a 3.0L single cam per head engine... but its your money and time so do it if you want.

You should dyno the car before and after the mod to see what you gain/ lose, then post the results here.

i will post the reaction to the mod once i get it up. thanks for the tips on some parts. i was also thinking i might be cheaper to go with a intrepids setup to save some money for the same basic design.

but power wise if you can get the air in and the air out there will be power gains. and if it runs the car a bit too lean i already have that possibly fixed. a set of dohv stealth injectors w/ a fuel pressure regulator, and just to be on the safe side get an air fuel ratio gauge to be able to keep tabs on it. so i don't mess anything up majorly at least.

ud sure be able to get the air in with that but i dont think itd be too possible to get it out. no one makes headers for the car at all and its quite tight against the fire wall on the back side so fabricating them wouldnt be easy. But on the plus side these motors have very very nice looking big ports in them.
