I read the instructions on one of those do it yourself kits,it said you had to scuff the complete area you're going to apply it to,at around $90 for the kit I don't think I would go that route,I've allways had drop ins on my trucks and thats what I have in my Dak,the spray in look nice, saw a diferent set up on Spike last weekend I think it was, it came in sections with plastic sides and a bed mat in a box small enough to ship to your door, don't know about the cost but it didn't look bad.

I got the line-x as soon as I bought the truck. It is a great product and I do like it; however, for the limited hauling of stuff I do, and how much it cost (~$450), I probably would've went another route.

I have rino lining and love it. The non skid surface is very nice and well worth the money just for that.

I have Line-X.

As to which is better it is a matter of preference. We had a truck at work sprayed with Rhino. I was able to peel a whole section off the tailgate. Bad product or bad application?

Line-X is not rubbery and even if you wanted to chip or peel it, it just won't move.

Line-X-no probs. Most of the vendors will cut you a deal and have a little room to work on the price.

I had Rino in my 95 Dak and it was great! I couldn't hurt it. I now have the Bedrug product in the 06 and I really love it on the knees and great for not marring things I put in the bed.
