Default more headlight problems

Awhile back I posted about headlight problems. Now I have another problem. I have no bright lights. The other lights work fine. I changed the blubs and the dimmer switch. any other suggestions? When you hit the bright lights, the lights go off. Hit the switch again you go back to regular lights.

By "dimmer switch" you do mean the one located on the steering column, and not the switch that you pull out to turn the regular headlights on (which is called the headlamp switch) correct?
With that said, you will need to disconnect the bulkhead disconnect (its a big 50 pin connector). Test continuity between cavity 6 of the side you actually disconnected and the high-beam feed at the headlight. Of course, there should be continuity. Also, make sure all the pins are straight, clean, and just good like their in good condition.
If that checks out ok, than the problem is somewhere in the wiring between the dimmer switch (on the steering cloumn) and the bulkhead disconnect (which is a straight wire from one to the other).

This might be a stupid question, but I'll ask anyways just in case you haven't. I don't know what year you have, but I know on some vechiles their is fuses for the low beam and high beam. You have checked the fuses, right? And also if you pull back on the switch, to go from low to high beam, if you pull back a little you can have both the high and low beam on at the same time. Does both come on for you?

Ok, I'm having the same problem except my low beams will not come on. The high will, but not the low. I've changed bulbs, checked fuses, pulled relays etc.... NOTHING........... all that is left is to change the multi function switch (turn signal)... Help...
