For a soft cover Extang makes the best and their prices aren't too bad. I have one and it's an excellent cover. 3yr warranty on the cover and lifetime on the rails. Stay away from the snap on covers (ie:buttons) Go with a snap less cover, works great.
Anthony
dual exhaust 01 02-16-2004, 06:28 PM I have an 01 extended cab with a tonneau cover that is from Pepboys, it was around 100.00 and it does not have any snaps on it, it is almost like a plastic lip that clips in under the rails on the side. I had the same cover on my 99 chevy extreme and I loved that one also. If I had to buy another one I would get the same kind it is great and will never rust. Also it dos not faid and has tie downs to roll it up when hauling stuff in the bed. Any other questions let me know... 04Dakota 02-17-2004, 01:58 PM I have a soft cover from checker pro on my 04 Dakota. I got the soft fx with the shocks and it's great. And I haven't found a place to beat their prices yet. dodge2004 02-26-2004, 02:33 AM I bought an Extang. It had stainless steel and brass snaps. Also, snaps are adjustable for cold and warm weather. Great price and good product. JC dodge2004 02-26-2004, 02:37 AM I bought an Extang. It had stainless steel and brass snaps. Also, snaps are adjustable for cold and warm weather. I did have to replace my tarp this year, but it was going to be 6 yrs old and I never did anything to preserve the finish. The rails are still in perfect condition. Dodgegirl19 03-10-2004, 05:33 PM TruckXpressions.com sells Extang at an unbeatable price. ;) ~Amanda JRod 03-11-2004, 03:37 PM Yeah, 183.00 is a great price for a Extang Classic. I paid 250 for the same cover at Mumblys Off-Road around here. Dodgegirl19 03-11-2004, 03:41 PM Around here? Where are you... I have a Mumbley's Off Road... I didn't think they were a chain... LOL! On Gratiot, in Michigan...? ~Amanda JRod 03-11-2004, 04:13 PM Yeah, I live in Warren around 14 & Schoenherr ;) DakMan6704 03-31-2004, 12:15 PM anyone have any advice for a hard cover? cbsaint 04-15-2004, 06:35 PM The very first accessory I bought for my '04 Dakota SXT was an Extang Tuff Tonno. Its snapless, adjustable for cold weather when the tarp shrinks, and looks fantastic. The fit was good and installation was easy. I paid $230 locally, though I could have gotten it for less online. I just needed it faster than the 4 week delivery. |
