Default JET CHIP GOOD OR BAD?

Im looking at the jet chip for my car the stage 2 is it worth $270 or is there somthing better to go with for the money? Thanks

That's a real good price if you're going to buy a chip. On the other hand, you may want to reconsider using a chip at all. These 6.1's are pretty highly tuned from the factory and the timing is already at the limit of 91 octane fuel. Now, if you could find 94 octane fuel like the lod days, I'd defenitly get a chip. But with the piss the stations are selling these days I don't think you'll get the results you are expecting.

Well every station around me offers 93octane and there are a few that offer 94octane.

Lucky you. Here in NV it's 91 and lower. (Unless you want to pay 5.50 a gal for 100 racing fuel)

Dont bother buying one. I literally just tryed to install one I purchased a couple months ago. The instructions warn that the clearances will be tight once installed and that is an understatement. It simply doesnt fit without cutting in the plastic surrounding the pcm unit. I just spent more than an hour trying to jimmy it in... finally gave up and removed it.

the jet chip is a good buy. i installed one on my 06 charger srt and it run a hell of alot better. the fit is tight but its not impossible to instal. just take your time. get the chip.
