RE: dodge emblems

take it to a paint/body shop and get them to debadge it and then powder coat them black and put them back on. actually i would take it to the dealer and get them to do this now that i think about it. they would know the proper way to debadge and would be able to put them back on in the correct spots but if you took it to a shop they might not be as familiar with where they are supposed to be and put them on wrong. or you could just debadge it and keep em off for a nice clean look. that would look better IMO because you wouldnt be able to see the black emblems on a black car anyways. when you get your car finished post up a pic of it. sounds like you have a nice idea.

Doesn't powder coating require heat for an extended period of time? These "new" badges are plastic, would you end up wth a lump power coated? Obviously I don't know enough about power coating so bear with my ignorance on this one.

i dont know anything about powder coating so it may require heating which as you said would be bad for the badges if theyre plastic (im not sure about the charger badges but the badges on my ram are metal) but i think he got my general idea which was get the badges taken off, painted and put back on.
