Default Engine Rattle

Sup peeps!..I have an 05 srt-4...just wondering if its common that the engine or tranny rattles at low rpm(1st gear). I have read that our cars have a noisy engine. Also shifting to 3rd sometimes is not as smooth as i would like it to be. Maybe im just being paranoid.

The 3rd gear shift is a small problem with most all of us. They all seem to be a little difficult to get into 3rd, mine is hard especially at mid revs's like 3500 or so, anything faster or slower and it shifts just fine. It's just the one rev range. As far as the motor I don't know what kind of noise you're hearing but our exhaust does make a good bit of noise even stock.

by 'rattle' as long as you dont mean a 'valve tap' its not a big deal. exactly what type of rattle is it? if its low rpm in first like you say it is possible its just the tranny (synchros?)

Prob- 3rd gear ,as with many srt4's, or could be release bearing.Take it to dealer for warranty while you still can.
