Default Upgrading

I will be swapping my sohc, to dohc in a matter of months but before I do that I would like to do all the upgrades I can, that wont affect the swapping. Anybody have a list I could go by? Or some tips would be appreciated.

Do the 60K maintenance while the engine is on a stand. As far has performance upgrades on an NA...how deep are your pockets.

the money dosent really matter, I just wanna do as much as I can before the engine swap and not have to replace all of the other upgrades when I upgrade to a dohc.

well what is your mileage at??? thestealth is definately correct in saying having your 60k 120k and 180k tune up done. because i know i'd be pissed if i did all that conversion work. then later down the road throw a rod or something hardcore gay.

well when I bought it, it had 68k miles on it but I drove the hell out of it to like 73k miles. Replaced the belts, speed sensor, TCU, power steering pump.

Before you spend a boatload of cash on building your shortblock...you should ask yourself what are your ultimate goals for the car.

I just want my car to be different, I know a few people who own various garages, and they have been doing some custom work for me. Im a big muscle car fan so in the end im just looking for power, dont really care to get it on the highway and just floor it, just want to work on it instead of buying a TT model, to me its more fun for me to work on it myself.
