Default Blue Smoke when cold

Ok...About 7 months ago around 6k miles i was at my folks house for a visit, it was time to head home and cranked it up, it was in the morning, My dad informed me of blue smoke, I assumed he was imagining it and blew it off. Well yesterday I cranked it and moved it out of the garage to do some cleaning, about 3 hours later i cranked it to move it back in and poof, a flume of blue smoke came out. Has anyone had this happen? I know from a little gearhead experience this is not a good thing. car has tight at 16k miles on her.
