Hey, I was thinking about buying a set of konig verdict's for my srt-4 and was wondering would these fit my car properly, and with this size of rims, what size tire would fit on them the best? thanks. Oh, and the size as it states in the subject is 17"x8". Thanks

You can't be sure until you try, but I'm betting they will fit. These wheels have a 40mm offset which is close to perfect and with 225/45R17 tires should fit. The speedometer ought to be real close to stock also with these size tires at 832 revs per mile. From what I have read on here you can go up to a 235 tire but I'd rather be safe then sorry. Just my opinion. Let me know how it works. I'm looking at some 17x7.5 wheels with a 40mm offset and the 225s also. You can be the guinea pig,,,,,lol.

I run 225/45/17 on my 17 x 7.5's, I'm pretty sure you could go wider than a 225/45....

I just put a set of 17x7.5 wheels with a 35mm offset on my car. I put 225/45/17 tires on it with the wheels. The handling difference is very noticeable. The car feels much more stable on the on and off ramps than it ever did before. I haven't tried any launches with the new tires yet but I can say they fit well and ride great.

FYI - I have a stock suspension '03 with 17x7.5 Offset +42 wheels and SUMITOMA HTRZ II 205/50ZR17 tires. There are 1/4" spacers on the front but none on the rear.

If they are 40mm offset you should be OK, I had Motegi Traklites on my '05 SRT4 in 17x8 w/a 45mm offset and while they fit (just barely!) I could only run a stock size tire w/o rubbing. I ended up w/a 17x7 w/35mm offset, 225/45/17's and lots of room.

I am currently bone stock except for Flik Wasp 17x8. I am running 245/45/17 RT-615.  I have rubbing issues when flying over back farm (paved) roads that are dippy in nature and the rub is usually not from the compression when I land but the when aire born.

UPDATE:  My tire of choice now is Dunlop's new Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec.  I am running 235/40/17 @36 psi. Have had one auto cross so far.  Tires heat up to temp real quick.  No rubbing probelms as mentioned above.
