I've been trying to thikn of somethign to do to it first once I get it that'll increase the performance for quite a bit at a lower cost, for once I DO get it. Although, I myself do'nt know how to do much w/ cars yet, but I've worked on a few and a good friend of mine is a head mechanic @ the age of 17.. so he's good. Any ideas? That and I'm planning on putting a new exhuast/muffler setup, because it's going to have to sound nice xD. Just don't know what I want to put in yet as far as that goes. RE: Looking to buy a Stealth RT TT/GT3000 VR-4 - 9/17/2006 3:08:42 PM    foxx   Posts: 26 Joined: 9/16/2006 Status: offline check out enhancedstreetperformance.com, for a downpipe. if you can afford it its only $300 dollars, and includes a front precat eliminator. when you go to put it on, you should hollow out the rear precat also. according to dn performance just doing this should net you 40 to 50 hp gain. pretty impressive since 91-93 had 300 hp stock. I'll basically have about $700-$1000 to spend on just upgrading it. But ok, I'll keep that in thought. W/b the turbo. I've heard some people say that making it a single turbo will make it quite a bit faster. Does that sound right? (in reply to foxx) Post #: 19

RE: Looking to buy a Stealth RT TT/GT3000 VR-4 - 9/17/2006 3:33:59 PM    foxx   Posts: 26 Joined: 9/16/2006 Status: offline yes and no. with the twin set up, you get more cfm with smaller turbos. that also translates to less boost lag. true if you go single turbo you can fit a larger turbo into your engine bay, but spool up time is key. it all depends on what kind of driving you do. if your driving on the street, its bet to keep twin setup, that way your not dealing with major lag at every light, but if your going to race road courses and are going to be at high rpms for an hour or so, you dont have to woory about that. for drag if you can afford a stutter box and nitrous just to spool the turbo for launch than go with single, but personally i find the twins more reliable (in reply to AcesEleven) Post #: 20

The main thing I'm looking for is acceleration in short term, so havign a quick 0-60 or 0-100 is what I want most. It'll prolly be awhile before I reach the top speed, mainly because there ar no closed roads where I live, and it's very urban, so it's hard to to much of anythign anywhere besides streetlight racing. RE: Looking to buy a Stealth RT TT/GT3000 VR-4 - 9/17/2006 4:09:02 PM    foxx   Posts: 26 Joined: 9/16/2006 Status: offline i would stick with stock. another cheap upgrade is to buy a boost controller from summitracing.com or 3sx also but a boost guage. i recommend autometer as they have the most dead on guages. you can turn you boost up to 12 psi from 9. however do not go over 14 psi or you will hit fuel cut and probably destroy your motor. bringing it up to 12 on a 91-93 will put you at 320 hp, where the 94-99s run at (in reply to AcesEleven) Post #: 22

Is that just a Control unit that controls how much psi is applied to each cylinder? I'm still new to some of these parts. I only have basic knowledge about all the parts and junk, basically just all the stuff that you NEED to have to drive, but not anything TOO in depth.
