i hope the hp upgrade is true. now dodge needs to upgrade the hp in the hemi rams. im surprised they didnt do that first as that is sort of the flagship vehicle for dodge and for the hemi engine.

good that means that cam will be available to the rest of us either as an upgrade or buying through the mopar catalog come january ive been hoping they would come out with one .makes them trying to void your warranty harder especially when its there own parts .heck even if it isnt in there catalog once the car is out it will be as easy as talking a stroll to the parts counter and order an 07 cam and install it ... i believe thats all that would be needed.help me mango,oh p.s the hood still is going to get new decals a 5.7 hemi on the raised portion of the hood and the hemi hood decals the ones already cut in half ,then plan on getting the rocker panel thats says charger rt.i was thinking the superbird car of the 60-70 ,would it be appropriate to put on the charger i was thinking of putting the roadrunner decal 3 inchs in diameter right above the hemi decal on the side panel....
I agree with 3767 about ordering from Mopar their cam package to increase the HP (and probably still have it under warranty if the dealer does it). 25 HP seems abit high for just a cam change, but don't yell at me, I'm old school and I know every time I turn around the new stuff is better and better and cheaper and cheaper... don't get me wrong, I know 25HP can be gotten with a cam, but DRIVEABILITY is the key for a manufacturer to come out with a new cam for their production cars. I remember the six pack cam was hotter than the HP 440 cam, had a different tappet package, but the engineers didn't use the .471 Purple Shaft cam because they thought it was too hot (made the engine lope too much...). I had it first in my 440 GTX and it was a nice all around cam. Later I put in the 485 cam. (The 509 was abit much for me just cruzin around).
Having a bit more lift and not too much more duration would sure make it sound more "tough" and hopefully not loose too much MPG.
Also, glad to hear the change. It means Dodge isn't resting...

I'm not sure what you mean when you refer to the Superbird. Superbird was the Plymouth Roadrunner "winged car" version. The Daytona was the Dodge Charger version. And, again, the Roadrunner decal, well, that's a Plymouth.
