The 40's are pretty loud, but may not be to bad for some. It's pretty subjective.[sm=smiley24.gif]

Exactly. It's just like music, everybody likes something different. Do your own thing.

better get a corvette.
40 series sound way more throaty, and thumps w/ a bass like sound..
if you want a mean sound get a 3inch in/out flowmaster 40, or get that one specially designed for the new hemi...but i think its a 50 series.

I have the 40 series on my truck. Its pretty loud but its not obscene and its not that loud on a stock exhaust. I plan on putting on a set of headers, taking off the cat and putting a set of 30 series racing muffler and see what i can get out of it....But I'd reccomend the 40 series good tone and a pretty throaty sound. Hope this is helpful.

Sounds like a winner to me... I have the 40 series on mine with duals straight out the back... it is loud but OHHH so nice sounding! and it is only loud when ya really want it to be... at idle or just above the actual volume is probably about stock... when ya nail it is when ya hear it! I'm sure out the side would be a little louder with less pipe behind the muffler but i would not expect it to be awful. Just my .02!

I've got the 40's on my Coronet and it is loud, but the exhaust dumps under the car. With a full length exhaust it probably wouldn't be too bad.
