Default whistle noise

Hello Charger Lovers,

I've read in previous post that other charger owners have/are experiencing a whistling noise when driving 100 + mph. Has anyone figured out where/what is causing it? The only modification I've made was adding a CAI. I believe my windshield is intact, no leaks when it rains. I think the noise is coming from the outside mirror housing. What do you think? I'd hate to take her to the dealership -- the thought of them driving my baby at high speeds to recreate the noise makes me sick. Anyway, I'd appreciate any help/advise.

I have a slight whistle at about 137. I think it is the moonroof. I have only been at that speed twice and both times, I was by myself.

I plan to take it up to speed and have my brother listen around the next time he is in town. He is the only one I know that has no problem with having no seat belt on and wandering around a car at those speeds.

The noise isn't much of a prob, but bugs me a bit knowing that it is there. There are no leaks anywhere-- even when forcing water with hose nozzle.

BlackestRT,

I haven't reached 137 yet. I hear the noise at around 115 and it's very noticable. I'll see if I can pin-point the noise today. Thanks for the feed back...

The only whistle noise I hear is from somewhere around the drivers side rear window. I cant track that one down. Its got to be bad rubber around the window. It drives me crazy. I have sat in the back seat while my husband drives and I still cant find exactly where it is coming from.

I usually have the radio turned up when I am driving 130mph so i dont hear anything but the radio and police siren..

Strange thing today. I had it up to about 140 and there was no whistle and everything was perfect. I wasn't looking for it, but instead was showing an overagressive 350Z driver something about himself and his car. Afterwards, I realized that there was no noise this time. I hope there is a very good (permanent) reason for it vanishing. Maybe the moonroof wasn't closed all the way the last two times?
