hi has anyone experinced this problem i was reading a road and track that the srt8 magnum was 150 mph govenour limited ,does anyone have any good solid info on this ,because if my daytona has a govenour it got a wrench with its name on it im just hoping if it does ,im guessing its in the programming.anyways any info would be super.
What you don't want to hear, I believe these numbers are accurate and all are +/-5 or so MPH:
SXT are governed at 115
R/T are governed at 130
Daytona are governed at 145
SRT8 are governed at 160
The limiter can be raised by a programmer.
Now the qualifiers... I run mine up every now and then on open highway. Be safe and stay within your tire ratings and remember the others on the road depending on you to be safe as well. I don't want to be around when a car wipes out at 115+++MPH.
First of all BB and Mango..What are you doing up at 2:00am in the morning???Night owls? Second, I have had mine pegged out, no more reading on the speedo..(please dont tell my husband)..I have the superchip on it. Also, I pulled a few fuses...(that one will NOT die). My only complaint is the banging out at high rpm. I wish Hal would learn how I drive..
The SC can change your shift points, rev limiter, mph limiter, tire size, gasoline use (87-91). It also can take times as far as how fast you can go 0-60 and so on!! Great little dealio!!

Do you own one? Do you have 1/4 mile times after you put it on? Did it greatly increase your 1/4 time over stock? What is your 1/4 time now? Are you running 91 octane gas? Does it hold the program in the ECU?
Basically, are you satisfied with it for the money spent?
The Michelin tires that come with the Road and Track Handling package (standard on Daytonas) carry a "Y" speed rating which is 186 MPH. The only higher rating is ZR which is "open ended".
