The Charger is going back to the dealer Wed becasue it is still knocking and pinging. I have been ruinning 89 Octane( car still hauls ass) and I can still hear knocks and pings.
The dealer said they are going to have to call Chrysler becasue there are no TSB reports on knocking and pinging.
Can anyone offer a possible reason so I can give the dealer some things to look for?
I am thinking its a timing issue?

I put in the Jet 2 chip almost immediately and have ran 91+ ever since and have had no problems pinging (that I know of). Where I live, premium gas is only 3-4 cents more than 89, so I use the 91+.
If you live in an area that uses MTBE (Methyl tert-butyl ether) as a fuel octane booster additive (sometimes referred to as Reformulated Gasoline) which also raises the oxygen content in the gas, this may cause a leaning out. I don't live in that area (CA, parts of AZ, Houston, etc, etc ) are areas that use MTBE for cleaner air.
